In another place we had a conversation going about the C7 build documents. As most know you can receive copies of the window sticker and the build sheet from the museum. I'm not sure though that in this forums there is a good post that shows examples of all the different documents that could be associated with your car, so I thought I'd throw this out there with a few examples of various documents. I have some others that I don't think are as relevant but if people want to post examples of some docs that I don't have here for others to see then it might be a good place for those examples in case anyone finds something and wants to see if it is legit or not. These are examples from my car, which I took museum delivery of personally so I can attest to these being legit.
Also, if anyone has better descriptions of what I have posted below that would be great as well. I did not include the window sticker as I think most know what that looks like.
This is what a certificate of origin document looks like. It is usually destroyed by most DMV's after they create the pink slip for the car. Factory invoice This is the build sheet that goes with the car on the assembly line I believe this is a more specific build sheet that travels with the car regarding specific cockpit components These are each 8.5x11 sheets that travel with teh car as well. Top one indicates the car is museum delivery. Middle one indicates the car has ground effects associated with the order. Bottom one is the batch and date for the car, which is essentially the build date.
The only disagreement I have is the build sheet. I've been over (and over, and over) photos and videos from the plant. The museum build sheet never appears. I don't know if it's just something the museum came up with, but that sheet never goes down the line with the car.
The reason I did that is I'm working on deciphering and possibly reproducing the actual assembly line sheets. I'm about halfway done with the 14-17 sheets. There were several minor changes in that run, and then the format changed completely with the plant rebuild in 2018.
As best I can tell, there were 6 large sheets in total, plus some smaller odds and ends like your museum delivery tag, or batch tags.

I have to say, if you compare that sheet with the cockpit one the "build sheet" is much bigger, seems to be a totally different format. I don't think I would be surprised if that didn't actually travel with the car. Would be great if it could be confirmed which sheets actually traveled with the car.
@Jeff V. I'd be curious what sheets you have that maybe I'm not showing? I didn't post all the stuff I have but I think I got most of it, need to check the car as I think I have a couple in there.
Back in 2016 member rogman16 posted pictures of the sheets that were attached to his car. He had the tour where he walked with his car down the assembly line and collected the sheets from the workers before they trashed them. I didn't save the post link and I didn't find it in a quick search. I did save the pictures as I was trying to recreate the sheets for my 2016 Vette.
2014-2017
Chassis sub-assembly (Early drivetrain / suspension)
Chassis main assembly (Late drivetrain / suspension)
Body main assembly (after body and driveline marriage)
Door sub-assembly (The ecologic sticker is unrelated)
Cockpit sub-assembly
Engine sub-assembly (I've never actually seen anyone receive one of these)
2018-2019
Roughly the same as 14-17, albeit with stations in a different order. Presumably there's an engine sheet I haven't gotten a picture of.
I'm working on deciphering what all the different part descriptions and numbers mean. It's a huge pain in the ***. But it's interesting.
Those are awesome. Sounds like each sub-assembly had it's own sheet from where it was assembled. Like the cockpit one that I do have. Nice stuff and thanks for adding it to the thread! Could be a good reference for folks if they can find it down the road :-)
I'm trying to chase this stuff down now, since the C7 run is over. Some of the 18-19 stuff might be relevant to C8 owners as production on those ramp up.
Something worth noting since we're on the topic. Everyone always asks what number their car was as it came down the line. The VIN sequence number is not the assembly line sequence number.
The actual sequence number is shown on the build sheets as either PVI, sequence, or job number. You can also find it on your car's front bumper crash beam in the form of a bar code. The first two digits are the model year, the 3rd digit always seems to be 1, and the remaining 6 digits are your car's actual assembly sequence. You can just barely see the top of this barcode label if you remove the air duct leading to the hood vent, or if you feed a small camera down into the gap in that area.
