Default Yet another damaged splitter

Today while adding a couple fasteners to my two week old painted splitter, I noticed my dealer damaged it while racking it two days ago when I was in for an alignment. One side is cracked on the leading edge so it’s not very noticeable (but will certainly get worse).

The other side is dimpled in a similar spot on the driver’s side consistent with their lift rails. I didn’t notice it when I did a quick walk around when they brought my car around. If I didn’t have the front end in the air I wouldn’t have noticed it for a while. I’m happy they said they’d make it right, but I’m disappointed that someone didn’t say anything - though not at all surprised.

Sorry, but welcome to the typical dealer... unfortunately GM dealers don't have a corner on such lame, irresponsible actions.

Here is hoping that they make it right... AS each day goes by.. their commitment to that " Make it right " becomes less and less important to them. Are they buying you a new splitter or just putting a bandade on it?
Good luck
but I fear you will need it..
Bill
To me, making it right would have meant, a new splitter and them paying for it.

Yes. They will replace it with the same part. I will not require them to do the labor since I did this install myself...and I don’t trust them either.

I hope they keep their word and that all goes well, I too would not want them to install it.

My Vette barely fit on one of the only alignment racks around that could accommodate it. The had it backed as far off as they could and it still touched.

The other side was very close to touching -

Sweet! Initially went with Cray Spiders but vendor sold me an offset that I didn’t like. Even these stick out about 5mm in the rear. Where did you take that picture? Looks vaguely familiar.

Yeah, I took that pic in late September 2019 at Corvettes & Colors in Telluride, CO (which explains the winter tread as well). The Spiders do have some poke, which sort of sucks, but is also sort of cool at the same time. These are just my winter wheels.

Well, after dragging their feet, my dealer asks
me if I’d be ok with a repair. Skeptical, I showed up to have their guy look at my splitter. After sitting there almost 45 minutes, my adviser tells me the repair guy is running 2 hrs late! That’s when my patience ran out. They FINALLY ordered a replacement for me today.
