Has anyone ever had their leather seat embossed in the headrest? Looking to have my headrest embossed with Grand Sport. The seat skins will bee removed from the seats.

Had it done on my C5 when I bought a set of Vette Essentials seats, but haven't done it on the C7. I have a feeling that unless the shop has a license to use the GM logo, they may be hesitant to do the work. Could be wrong though and if you can find a shop to do it, I think it will look great.
Embossed vs. embroidery. My Z06 seats are embossed, which is very subtle. I think embroidery would’ve looked a lot better, but more costly and probably why GM went with the former. Unlike most other cars, the C7 doesn’t have a separate headrest, so a little more labor will be involved, but definitely doable.

I had this done once when I was building up a '69 Camaro SS and yes, the skins had to be removed. I thought it was cool and different when I first had it done but honestly I never looked at it again, only noticing it when others pointed it out. Your post just reminded me of all the time and effort I spent for this detail that was quickly lost on me. Right now, I couldn't accurately tell you what's on any of my car's headrests. Crap, now I need to go look...
I had an F150 with a Lariat logo embroidered on the headrest. Seat wore out and had it redone. Shop insisted on restitching the logo. So it would match the passenger side. Truth, it was 10 years old and I didn't care. But I should have. The process weakened the leather and it quickly developed a tear right below the stitching. And the shop said, hey stuff happens.
