Hello,
I live in Central N.J and do not use '19 Black GS during the winter. It sits in a insulated garage and the temp. in the garage does not drop below 38 degrees even when the mercury dips into the teens and single figures, I do not keep it covered. It collects dust, is this dust harmful just sitting there on a waxed paint ?
Thank you,
Rich
" Silly Question " is not as bad as " I have a dumb question ".. but its right up there when put in the topic line... it would have been better to actually put the reason for the thread, like " Car Cover or Not ! " Just a suggestion.... I already answered your question in the other thread. Hopefully you will get other opinions.

I put an indoor cover on my car when it isn’t being used and will likely be sitting for several weeks. The key thing is to make sure your car is clean and dry and make sure your cover is clean and dry before putting it on your car. This works for me as I know I won’t have to spend time cleaning/detailing garage dust off of my car.
when the seasons change and I drive more often and it is warm enough to wash properly outside, I leave the cover off. Hope this helps.
Hey,
I'm 73 and have taken great care of all my vehicles ( mechanically and visually ) through the years but your never too old to listen and learn. Even though that is what you have been doing all along.
Thanks,
Rich

The dust won’t hurt the paint just sitting there. You can always go out to the garage every so often and use detail spray and a good microfiber towel to wipe the car down. Or just rinse the car off and wipe it down when you take it out of storage.
Maybe add a car cover to your birthday list. Just don't rub in the dust by wiping it off.
I do have a cover that I bought for it but we got very busy with my wife's mom's estate repairs and sale, etc, etc, etc, yada, yada, yada . Besides, when I go in the garage I get goosebumps looking at it sitting there naked !!

the dust won't hurt anything and you did answer your own question about whether or not to have a cover. Since you want to look at it and sit in ait naked do not use a cover. The only thing I would add is please do not post pictures of you sitting in it!

Dust? id be more worried about the vermin chewing on your wire harness while its sitting. Another reason to get all seasons - driving every day keeps the mice away.
All those stored vettes I suspect here in the tristate didnt get to enjoy the 60 degree day we had yesterday
