On my way home today I stopped for gas. I started my 2015 L3 Z51 and noticed the "engine light" was on. The car drove perfectly on the way home. Checked OnStar and no warnings or notices. Checked the gas tank fill to be sure both closures were closed, they were, any ideas before I go to the stealership for a diagnostic?
Looks like you already checked the obvious. Any mods, i.e., CAI, headers, tuning, etc? Assuming it’s out of warranty. As such, the below is a good product that’s very user friendly. GL

I would also recommend going by an AutoZone or O’Reillys auto parts store and have then check for codes. No charge and it will give you an idea of whether it is something you can fix or will require a trip to the dealer.
Just because the lids are closing doesn't mean they are "sealing" properly. I've had two different ones (both older like yours) look fine but set codes. I cleaned the mating surfaces and both were then fine. All the best.
Amazing having these big fancy touch screen in our cars and we still can't see diagnostic codes on them.
That's because our C7's are obsolete. Now take my daily driver 2000 Deville with all it's modern technology, I can see any diagnostic code with it's built in scanner, then erase it after I view it.
Got one these several years ago. I've fixed multiple problems on various cars quickly and cheaply. For example my old Dakota threw a code: power steering pressure sensor. I watched a YouTube video then $30 and 10 minutes later it was fixed using just one wrench.
