For some odd reason I remember seeing that the earlier year seats were different (wire harness?) than the later years? I have a 15 looking at buying 19 Comp seats. Will there be any issues??

Why not just convert the seats you have Vs purchasing whole new seats? You only need to convert the seat back. Purchase the comp seat back skin, comp seat seat back foam and the plastic parts that provide the shoulder belt path throughs and put them on your current seats. The seat frames are the same for both types of seats. The difference between the seat bottoms is nill. The comp seat may have stiffer seat bottom foam and the GT seat has one less seam in the seat bottom skin.
The difference is between 1LT Comp seats and 2LT/3LT Comp seats. 1LT has no seat heaters, position memory, ventilation fans, or inflatable lumbar support.

The connector under the seat that connects the seat wire harness to the car harness is different. Different shape and pinout. As I recall, the seats use a different approach to determining position...which affects airbag deployment...and the seat belt switch works differently.
Bottom line....electrically they are not a bolt in.
