I previously had a C6 Z06 but had to give it up awhile back because I'm one of those responsible individuals. Anyways, my C6Z was AOM and on top of that I've always liked DSOM.
What are you thoughts on this C7Z? https://www.carmax.com/car/18346242
I may have the ability to get this beauty to grace my garage and keep my little '10 Corolla S as a daily.
Good price? Appears to be a 2LZ based on VIN decoder.
Is it possible to do the front grille cameras with the '15 radio?
Please keep things jovial and polite with me and others.
If you must have that color, you have found your car as you're not exactly going to trip over DSOM Z06s everywhere you go. Otherwise, check out the c7 FS section. A couple low mileage Zs to consider there.
Great combo.2 items to be aware of.The Brakes are stupid expensive.Probably the best for stopping,But
The Rims are sorry to say,Junk.Yup,put 4k for starters with foreign forged. You may luck out?
This is the better looking Orange...Good Luck
Ohh Check panel fit around the lights.Their was trouble with panels rubbing losing paint.

Thanks! I'll be sure to check the panel alignment around the headlights. I am leery of the brakes, but we shall see how that goes. Lol
I've never purchased aftermarket wheels before, will have to start looking around.
If the car hasn't been tracked the brakes will last for a very long time. Rims don't always cause problems. They didn't with mine but others have had problems. It would not be a deal breaker. That car looks really nice. They did a good detail and took nice pics. Bright lights help. Cool color. I would be very excited if I were you. Good luck!

Anything particular I can inspect the rotors for? Other than cracks or chips? Got all of the financing lined up, so as long as it checks out tomorrow, it will be coming home. Very excited!

Visual inspection is good to see if they have gotten damaged by taking the wheels off and on, but the rotors have to be weighed to know how much wear is on them. They don't wear thin like iron rotors. But I'm pretty sure removing the rotors and weighing them is not going to be possible for you. I've asked a forum member who is pretty experienced with these types of brakes to comment here. He's a track instructor too. Hopefully that will help you. Good luck.
PS: I thought I saw pictures of new and worn CC rotors on this forum but it was a few years ago. The worn ones have pock marks on the surface and new ones don't.
Here is a picture of a rotor that is in the intermediate stages of pock marking. There are some pictures on the forum that are much worse.
Since the rotors are Ceramic the edges of the pock marks are very sharp and a large number of them will increase pad wear. This rotor has 13 track days on it and several thousand street miles, it is also above the minimum weight. As the rotor pock marking got worse my pad consumption went from replacing pads after 6 track days to replacing them after 3 days. At ~$500 for a set of pads and ~$1500 for a rotor replacing these parts can be expensive.
That's a beautiful car !! Tires have been replaced, but with 14K that's about right for these cars. I'm no expert at all on the CC rotors but I've seen some pics here on the forum of tracked-out CC's. Those look almost new to me. As Bill mentioned above they are very expensive to replace, but with just normal street use they say they last pretty much the life of the car. (other forum members W/CC's)
Will you be inspecting the car personally?
If so, check the rear wheel inner liners for stuck on rubber *****- signs of big burn-outs
Sure is a pretty one !!! Good luck and post-up if you get it - tom

Like your screen name LOL
Thanks kenownr! As i mentioned in the OP, I'm partial to orange. And always wanted a SOM formula firehawk - but that never happened. Now have the opportunity to get this sweet ride thanks to someone very dear to me.
Yes, I'll be arriving on site personally with my wife and uncle. I'm fairly astute when it comes to vehicles, but wasn't even considering one with a Z07 package initially, until CarMax screwed up and I didn't get the one from them.
Appreciate the advice, I'll take a look there as well as what someone else mentioned about checking around the headlights for worn paint. If I get it, I'll start a new thread over in the C7 Z06 section and link to it from here also.
I've been using this screenname and as an email address, since... maybe 25-27 years now? LOL Back from the old AOL dial-up tones.
I just remembered, someone else was looking at that car a few days ago and a couple locals piped in that the dealer was known pretty well as a stand-up dealer which is hard to find these days.

Tom, that is great to hear. All communication I've had over the phone or via email with Mike (sales) or Joseph (finance) has been exemplary
If local people are of that opinion, makes it even better for out of towners.
