No start

WHAT I WANTED TO ACHIEVE WAS PREVENTING MY CAR FROM STARTING SO IT COULD NOT BE STOLEN SO WHAT I DID WAS REMOVE THE STARTER RELAY AND PIN 85 OF THE RELAY WHICH IS JUST GROUND FOR THE STARTER RELAY AND PUT A TOGGLE SWITCH IN ITS PLACE TO REMOVE THE GROUND SO THE CAR COULD NOT BE STARTED. FLIP THE SWITCH WHEN I GET IN TO APPLY THE GROUND FOR REGULAR STARTING. iT MAY NOT BE THE BEST LOOKING BUT AT LEAST MY CAR IS NOT WALKING AWAY. THE SWITCH CAN BE HIDDEN ANYWHERE YOU LIKE. THIS DID WORK SO I FEEL MORE AT EASE OF NOT WORRYING WHERE EVER MY CAR MY BE THAT ITS GOING TO BE WHERE I LEFT IT. I USED #24 WIRE. IT WAS SMALL ENOUGH FOR THE COVER TO CLOSE OVER IT. IF YOU HAVE ANY PROS OR CONS I WELCOME OF THIS I WELCOME IT. I HOPE THIS MY GIVE OTHERS IDEAS. FOR ME RIGHT NOW ITS A PIECE OF MIND. HAVING YOUR 100K CAR GONE WOULD GIVE ME A HEART ATTACK.

Holy CAPS batman. Neat project that will provide some additional protection. However many thefts are on the back of a flatbed.

Holy crap.... 30 years driving Corvettes, 7 years driving P-cars, and 7 years driving a Ferrari.... they go to Home Depot, Walmart, hotel parking lots all over the country, grocery stores, restaurants... etc..... your car owns you, not the other way around.

Great that it works for you, but I also feel the reason I pay insurance is to cover any things that can happen to the car.

If someone wants my Corvette they can have it. It’s not that I don’t care about it but I have been paying insurance for over 45 years and never had a car stolen.
Then I will either find another C7 or get the C8 my dealer keeps wanting to sell me.

If that works for you on your car then it is a great idea. Peace of mind, however you find it, is worth something.

That's a lot of added electrical failure points. I'd just let the insurance do its job.

Pay attention, Andy! He actually has 48 likes for 239 posts giving him a considerably better ratio than you. He has given out, not eked out, one like.
