As many of you all know, I just bought my first c7 corvette stingray 2lt ZF1 and I’m wanting to know what sounds, rattles, squeaks and all of the above noises that car makes that are normal. Never owning a corvette before I want to make sure that nothing is unordinary it still has a year left of powertrain warranty on it too
Congrats, you got a lightning McQueen. I have a squeak coming from the back, sounds like something inside the interior. Only noticed it after the beating it took after being up in Michigan. Congrats again, and be safe.
Thanks!! and being in upstate NY I havent been able to drive, though I wanted it before spring because the car was very nicely priced. I just dont know what sounds normal when im driving down the road if there is normal vibrations maybe from the road? im not sure what to expect.
Congratulations, it’s a beauty. The only noise I’ve experienced from time to time is a rattle coming from area above the passenger side it may be the seatbelt attachment latch which several others have experienced. Other than that it’s been free of rattles and squeaks.

Congrats and welcome as an OWNER instead of a STALKER!
Things that are normal for the C7 and have been topics on the forum
The "ackerman effect" causes tire hop when the tires are cold and a sharp turn is attempted at low speeds.
From the manual:
Tire Chatter/Hop - When driving at slow speeds and in very tight turns, the vehicle may have tire chatter/hop. This condition is normal and the vehicle does not require service.
The idle has a slight roughness that is normal. I consider it performance waiting to get out
There is a slight ticking from the engine compartment when the engine is running... Attributed to the fuel injectors
Road noise can be a bit overwhelming for new owners coming from quiet touring cars. The intensity depends on road surface and is quite noticeable on rough roads but butter smooth on good pavement. A common quick fix is to install Block It mats especially in the rear cargo area as that surface behaves much like a drum head bouncing noise off the rear window to the front seats. The Block It mats do not diminish direct road noise but do cut down the thumping from the back.
Others have gone full Monty with sound deadening mats over most of the interior.
As far as cabin noises, it's a bit of a crap shoot.
My '17 was absolutely squeak and rattle free with both the carbon fiber top and the transparent roof installed.
I am chasing down annoying squeaks and rattles on my '19 from the rear/outer roof areas a couple in the door jamb area...
Apparently there are small differences in frame dimensions in different years.
Like others have stated, the engine will make noise and idle a little rough, its a V8 and should make noise. As far as rattle and squeaks, you should not have any. One thing, some have experienced, is rattle on targa top. This is generally older models as GM upgraded the Pins and connectors around 2017 I believe. The car is nicely put together IMO.

Great looking car you bought. jimmbbo pretty much covered the main areas in his post. I've not experienced any rattles in mine and have been very pleased with the build quality.
I picked up my '19 base Stingray in Dec. and as I was driving home from the dealership I noticed a rattle from the glove box area and also a buzzing type sound from the dash around the instrument cluster area. I haven't driven it since then to do any further investigation, but when the weather gets warmer I plan on taking it back to the dealer and get it checked out.
