Default Cluster issue

Looks like I do have an Instrument Cluster issue. Since I picked up my 1 owner 18 Z06 in Dec I haven't driven it much and when I initially looked it over I saw some marks on the lens that had me a touch worried. Past few days it has warmed up and I have had it out a lot. Just noticed a dimmer spot near the 20mph mark on the analog left side, almost a half moon spot where it looks dimmer. As if an LED is failing. Of course the part number changed for 17 to 18 and the price is up 6x from 550 to over 3k.

Took it to Criswell thurmont and they wont start an order until the "Vette tech" arrives thursday to hook it up to the computer. Of course you can clearly see its an issue and there is no user or dealer serviceable parts in the cluster.

Wonder how long I'll be in line for a cluster. Its under warranty with 6k milse but am waiting to hear more dealer excuses. Contemplated just dealing with it as a bug but now it more of principle thing, it should be right and same level brightness across the board.

DB

So did you have a question or.....? Sounds like the dealer is going to take care of it under warranty.

Thank G-d for that 36,000 milse warranty!

Curious: Why not just take it in to Criswell at Gaithersburg?

They service over 300 Corvettes monthly.

They sell over 400 Corvettes annually.

They have an entire team of dedicated Corvette tech’s on Staff.

No waiting until Thursday, and Gaithersburg is just down the road.

Besides, IF the diagnosis and repair takes more than a day, they will provide a loaner.
