Hi all, They guy that I have used in the past closed shop. So I am looking for someone to powder coat my calipers. When I bought the GS the only option it was missing I wanted was red calipers... Has black. Wanting to see who is out there that won't break the bank.
I had purchased powder coated calipers when I had my C5, my brand new C7 came with red painted calipers. I prefere the painted over the Powder coated. Any GOOD body shop should be able to do that. New car the day that I first saw it The C5 with powder coated calipers
I recently looked into this and its not cheap to powder coat. There are videos on DIY powder coating to cut down on costs. Though it just seems like a pain because you have to rebuild your caliper after coating since you have to tear it down for the coating and baking process. I think it was about $200 ish per caliper (paint + new seals), not sure how much for DIY.
Have you heard of "Mike the Powder Coater"? Search the forum, not sure if he's still doing them. He did my C4 and C6 and I loved them. He had the correct decals too.
Sorry at work, can't be of any help other than that info. Good Luck.

Mike is no longer in business. He did my 5th gen camaro.
I recommend http://www.tpsmotorsports.com/company Their price was the most reasonable and their work and customer service is exceptional. They are in Northern California though. The core deposit was the least expensive and were very prompt to credit it as soon as they received the old calipers.
I know these are C6 Calipers, but the process is the same. I had them powder coated, rebuilt with new pins, and all new hardware. They were first powder coated in silver, then the "CORVETTE" decals were attached. Then they were powder coated in the blue. Then at the right time, the decals are removed, exposing the silver through the blue... This not only takes more time, but also looks so much more professional than a decal on top of the powder coating. The Carlisle blue is amazing by itself...but these calipers put the car over the top...
If you're mechanically inclined you can ceramic paint them yourself at a fraction of the cost of powder coated ones. I had the calipers on my C6 powder coated but decided to try to paint the calipers on my C7 and so far it's held up great. DupliColor makes a three part ceramic caliper paint kit consisting of a primer, paint and clear. There are other companies that make caliper paint kits too-search eBay. You can also purchase the correct Corvette caliper decals on eBay too. Simple process, should only take you a few hours on a weekend to do. Remove wheel, wipe down calipers, you can use brake cleaner for that, tape off everything you don't want painted. Spray the primer and let it dry for a few minutes, lay on a couple of coats of paint and let it dry, top off with the clear and let it dry. Apply the decals, stand back and admire your work, put wheels back on. Have an adult beverage.
I did my own on my C6 back in 08 and when I traded it in 2011 they still looked as good as new. I even put a sparkle in them to look like the metal flake in the car's paint.
