Took our ‘19 GS Vert A8 3800 miles,in for a sticker at local facility. Emissions failed. As soon as machine was plugged into the OBD port, the CEL comes on and automatically fails car. Multiple codes. P0700, U0100, U01010. I had the triple flush done in the fall and then put car away for the Winter. Drove around for at least 300 miles in the last week. I can’t believe the flush had anything to do with it. P0700 is transmission control problem I think. Made appointment with dealer for Wednesday. We will see what they find.
In MA every car gets tested weather new or used. When I got the car in March 2019, the a-holes jacked the car up and checked the ball joints. I said the car has only 100 miles on it. He says the Registry has cameras and watches us. Dipshits. Today I took it to a different shop and they jacked it up and checked ball joints. Car has 3800 miles. I ran the car around town and on the highway for over a 3/4 of an hour. Fully warmed up and was ready to be checked. The car is running fine and shifting normal. We’ll have to see what dealer had to say. Have been driving it all day. 70* here today.
It's under warranty... Take it to the dealership... Problem solved.
The "Range" group says it causes no issues... But they ALL tell you to remove it before taking it to the dealership.... Play it safe and remove that puppy.
So I drove the car yesterday and today for about 150 miles. The garage had cleared the codes yesterday before I left. I went back and the car passed emissions. I don’t know what happened yesterday when the car was connected to the test machine. The CEL came on and car failed. So I’ll worry about it next year.
All vehicles will "fail" emissions testing with a CEL illuminated, and won't pass after codes are cleared until the car is driven 100 or so miles with no new codes. I've seen this several times on vehicles over the last decade or so.
