Can the build date be determined from the VIN? Or is there another way?

You can get the month from the door sticker near the lock striker. You can get the actual day from the GMVIS report or email the Corvette museum with your vin and they will give you the day.

 

This is what the GMVIS report looks like when you run the vin: Notice the actual build date of my car is right at the very end.

You can get it from a dealer. Some are lazy and tell you they are not allowed but that is bs, if they are competent they will give it to you. The first place to start would be where you bought your car I would guess.

 

Go on Chevy chat during business hours, tell them you own VINxxx and ask for the build date.

I've done this and gotten a prompt response. Same on GMC chat for my daily driver.

Or... look under your passenger seat to see if any of the factory paperwork was left there, as was with my '18.

 

As stated, your local dealer should be able to run the above report which will have the build date on it.
