Default Poverty Splitter

Picked up the poverty splitter this week. Knowing sometime in the future it's going to get damaged and be replaced, what is the best method to mount it to the vehicle? I don't want to use the rivets that came with it. How did you attach your splitter?

OEM matches up with the screw holes and screws that were already there from the factory. Solid and easy peasy.

I used the existing screws for the rear row of holes and plastic rivets for the front row. I expect I'll need to change the splitter again at some time in the future.

I used the factory screws that matched up with the holes and then used the supplied rivets to further secure the splitter. Yes, some drilling was required, but the splitter is definitely firmly secured to the car.

Mine is only mounted with the factory screws , been on forever and has made more that its share of 1/4 passes without any issues

I also wrapped mine because the thought of spending 500 dollars or more on a carbon fiber splitter to only have my dumb butt bump it on something . So I have hit things twice and I just re wrap it ....

Dude, you're my hero. This is exactly what I want to do to mine. Want the CF look but don't want to spend a ton of cash on something I'm likely to trash in no time. Mine is brand new so now is the time to do it. Where did you get the wrap?

Amazon has loads of it . I did get a big sheet as at first I did not know how much it would take and I wanted to try and do it in one piece... well that won't happen as there is to much pulling and stretching because of all the curves .
So I did it in two pieces a right side and a left side . I made sure to line up the "grain" of the carbon fiber and put the seam right at the centerline, working back towards the sides . Make sure you over lap it on both sides by just an 1/8 th of an inch in the center . Then use a razor blade and run it right down the center and remove the small overlap on each side , bingo a perfect seam . . One mistake I did do the first time was pull the wrap to tight and it lifted out of that inside curve after I installed it . Had to hit it with the heat gun a few times

Never wrapped anything in my life so I was kinda proud of how good it came out for about 7 bucks worth of wrap and about two hours of time

This is what I used, along w/the OEM screws, when replacing my “poverty” splitter with the stage 2/3, which is very solid. Note: the other pieces are the OEM rivets that I drilled out.
