Dealer claims his 2016 has PDR. There is no PDR icon displayed on screen.
Does there need to be a SD card installed for the icon to display?

 

PDR icon will show regardless of whether the SD card is inserted. Check and see if there's an SD card socket in the glovebox, on the left hand side near the center console.

 

Swipe the screen to the left to go to the second page of icons. It is probably there.

 

If you have this NAV icon, then the PDR is hiding somewhere. If you have the Nav icon that says "OnStar" across the bottom, then you don't have the PDR

 

There should be a PDR icon, SD card slot in the glove box and a camera behind the rear view mirror that can be seen through the windshield from outside of the car. Also, PDR and Navigation are a package deal... so if the car doesn’t have factory navigation, it doesn’t have a PDR.

you need to press the home button to go back to the home screen where all icons are listed... or just check for the other things that I mentioned...

 

Hit the home button. It'll open up the rest of the icons.
