Which throttle controller is preferred for C7’s?
2- Vitesse - been around a long time, More that twice as expensive as the solar , lately customer service has been lacking , sometimes has to be recalibrated or it will throw a code
3- pedal commander- been around the longest , no reports at all of problems . 5 X as expensive as the solar .....
I have a Vitesse, I bought it before the Solar was on the market... if I had to do it over I would buy the Solar

Having said that, I'd also buy the Soler due to price if I was in the market now.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
The Vitesse , while there are 1,000's sold suffers from these issues . Some folks never report problems and others have to remove it because it just does not work . The control box is overly sensitive to heat so u have to watch where you mount it .
There are many units that no matter how many times you calibrate it , the car will just pop into Low power mode for no reason .
I had one of these units in my C6 that would just pop a code after being installed and working perfectly for over 11 months and spent way to much time proving to Bob at Vitesse that my unit was bad before he agreed to replace it . I sent him photos and logs of my gas pedal and throttle body positions plus the error codes every time it happened
I personally know more than a few people who were out of warranty and he would not do anything for them even though it was well documented defect
I personally tried to help two guys who reported that their throttle "ran away" where they had to push the clutch in. shut the motor off and coast to the side of the road . This in theory should not be able to happen but something in the Vitesse was allowing it
Now like I stated above , there are literally thousands of Vitesse throttle controllers installed so I am sure the percentage of defective units is low , heck I have one in my C7 and never had an issue
Stuff is going to happen ... but it's how you handle the problem is what counts
This is the main reason I say if I had to do it over I would I would be buying a Solar TC and TB from Mike
In a PM conversation with Mike from Solar , I was assured that Mike worked with his manufacturer to make sure that these type of problems would not happen and as you can see from Mike's customer service if it did I am sure he would make it right for the customer but the Solar has not been out long enough or installed in as many cars as the Vitesse so that is why I reserve judgement until these units get some time on them but I would not be afraid to buy Mike's product .
