Only thing I can think of is a bad sensor. Let us know what you find.

You probably know this, but-
The car has to be locked (automatically or key fob) and then it takes a few minutes for the alarm to set itself.

Obviously the roof has to be on. The alarm is not active with the roof off.

There is a small microswitch up where the roof pin engages in the top of the window frame
It's on the passenger side I believe, very hard to see but it is in the hole.
If the switch is not depressed then the alarm is bypassed.
You may want to check that the switch is getting activated by the pin,
Take the roof off and try a small tube, rod or anything that would fit snuggly in that hole.
Lock the doors, wait and try again

If no change the switch may be out of alignment or the problem is else where

Good Luck

Do you have a 1LT? 2LT and 3LT have "advanced" theft deterrent system. Something was added to 1LT system - don't recall if incline or intrusion sensor.

Pin location for alarm roof top. Driver's side roof hole.

The motion sensor is located in the "bulge" of the windshield header trim, above the interior rear view mirror.
It is an ultrasonic motion sensor, and could possibly be false tripped by wind if the top is off.
The two little grills are the openings for the ultrasonic transducers.

OP: Have you ever had your windshield replaced? Some folks have had the motion sensor not work after windshield replacement because the installer did not properly plug the motion sensor module back in, when they replaced the header trim.

Just to be sure, is your car a 2LT/2LZ or 3LT/3LZ?

Is the microswitch visible but pin appears to be hidden/missing?

Coupe or convertible? Convertible has NO pin. Only the coupe has the pin.

I'm a little fuzzy on terms. Can you see the switch in the hole? Can you see the little bead sticking out of the switch cylinder?

If you click on the link in post #6, that will give you a rather fuzzy picture of what the roof stud hole looks like. You can see part of the switch "body" and the little pin protruding from the body.
Does your can appear to have the switch body but no pin, of is the hole just blank inside?

If the switch body is there but the pin is missing, just go to a dealership and have the parts guy look up the switch assembly. They should be able to order it for you.
If there is no switch body and the hole is just blank inside, then you don't have that disable function on the alarm. Maybe it wasn't available on the 2014 cars, or yours was omitted by mistake. Either way, probably unfixable..

Default Interior switch

I had to replace the switch, the bin was broken off and it’s call a striker it’s about $105, and I did it myself, it’s where the driver side roof bin that fits into the hole to hold your roof on there’s a tiny pin in that hole that makes your interior alarm work, I replaced it and now it work fine part # 23374302 driver side.👍
