I recently had my roof and mirrors wrapped. The guy used the new 3M 2080 Gloss Black wrap and charged me $200. The shop that did it was Taylor Laid Wraps in Moss Bluff,Louisiana.

I hate it when cars just pick a random spot and say "HERE'S WHERE THE ROOF STARTS!" but that red base model in the OP is perfecto!!
I'd say $200 MAX for that. Why not order a roll and try it yourself? Super cheap and pretty easy. Welcome to the black roof club!

That seems like a good price. I checked with a place locally and they wanted $150 per mirror to wrap.

i just got my roof, hood, and mirrors wrapped with 3M 2080. They charged me $250 each for hood and roof and $100 for both mirrors ($600 out the door). I called a few places and all quoted the same price.

The hatch is where the added cost I think is coming in with all the cuts and bends

I was quoted $300 alone to have my roof wrapped black. I was going to do like
you are thinking but went off of it when it was going to be around $500-$600

so I went with a roof stripe instead for $100.

OP I'll hopefully be finishing my wrap this weekend. If you are good at working with your hands give it a shot! you should pick it up pretty easily and it is fun to do. If you do decide to try it yourself Id suggest using 3m 2080 as it has been the easiest to use and the best finish I've seen compared to Vivvid and Avery. Check out Ckwraps YouTube cannel, he's got some great instructional content.

Holy crap you guys are getting ripped off! You can get an entire car done for $1500 to $2K in most places. Have any of you applied a sticker before? To a file cabinet, wall, bumper, etc? Anything. It's the same thing. Except easier! You can get a roll for $80 and do it yourself. Then you'll have spares!

I'm about to open a wrap shop if you are all so eager to plop down $600 for a roof, partial hood and mirrors

What got me was the 300.00 quote for a black roof wrap. $25-$30(probably less as a dealer) in material and 45min to an hour install. Only time I can see things getting expensive is when a lot of disassembly is needed.

Not in my part of the world. I called about half a dozen shops with decent reputations and a complete car was going to be more in the $4k +/- area.

That's 100% location based. Around here, a trash wrap will start at $3k. A less trashy wrap might be $3500. You don't start getting into the realm of decent wraps until $4k and some being upwards up $6-8k depending on the film type, prep work needed, panels removed and ceramic coating afterwards.

I paid 3500 and that was with a massive discount thru my car club. No way in hell esp in this day in age are you going to get a decent wrap for 2k hahaha. Not only that think about it guys a shop is not worth their time to do a roof for anything less than 400-600. Not to mention you have to buy a certain size material and you are stuck with scraps so that's definitely on the consumer. Business does not work that way. If you don't want to leave it to the pros like one said on here do it yourself. Your paying for years of experiences and professionalism not for 30min of a job.

Mine will be read tomorrow

I went to a place to get stripes. They quoted me $1500. After I told them their competition just quoted $400 an hour earlier they said they would match it.

I will not use that shop, or anyone who tries to rip me off as soon as I walk in the door.
Never did get the stripes

I really when folks do creative things with their cars paint and trim. What I don't like is when they do great creative things and then post one pic or part pic or wierd view pics. When you do great and wonderful stuff and want to share then really share with lots of pics
