Default C7 rear window mod

Team,
I’d notice this mod on a ‘for sale’ 2014 Z51 in facebook marketplace The owner stated, he purchased the rear window from a custom company (no response on which co.) in California. Wondering if anyone have information on the modification or is this just photoshop pic?

Doesn't appear to be photoshop. If it is, they did a really good job matching color and reflections.

I don't know what to think about it. Don't love it. Don't hate it. I guess it doesn't make the view to the rear any worse than it already was,

I kind of like it. I would really have to see one in person before I would do something like that though.

Looks like the fit and finish is good, but not a mod I would think of doing to my car. I would be concerned with the rear visibility which even on the stock car is not outstanding.

Probably not much of a priority for most. That's where the sunshade comes up to anyway. I realize the sunshade stretches, but you don't see many people filling the hatch to the window.

If nothing else, this mod appears to be reversible if someone regrets it. It shouldn't be hard to refit a new rear glass.

Interesting and apparently well done mod, but reducing the cargo space and decreasing the rear view area is a non starter... The C7 is limited enough as it is..

True, but no worse than a convertible.

More of a waxer's mod. Track people need to worry about change in aerodynamics. That notch back could increase drag without any benefit from an aerodynamic standpoint.

Same horrible rear visibility of the C8

Maybe so, but I'd also think that this would be a significant weight savings. The website reports it at 9 pounds. I'd expect the rear hatch glass to be significantly heavier. Just a guess.
