We were ourt for our daily walk and a torch red C8 came cruising by. It's the first time I've seen one other than internet pictures. I have to admit that it's a nice looking car without a doubt. I'm sure when the Z comes out it'll be even nicer, but for my tastes the old school Z still gets my vote!

I saw a black C8 on I-70 coming back home from St. Louis last week. Yes, it did look very good, but I’m still happy with my C7. Someday perhaps I’ll move up to the C8 - when all the frenzy dies down.
Hopefully they will come out with some better looking wheels one of these years. Doesn't look like it for 2021. The C7 wheels are really nice looking even though they seem to be weak.

I had planned on a deposit for a C8. Strike and plant closure made me think that I will revisit that in 2022 or 2023. Decided with the great deals to buy a 2019 GS. Just waiting for it to be delivered. There is a great C7/C8 picture comparison in the C8 general discussion. I honestly have to say that, to me, the C7 looks much better in a majority of the picture.
I am new to the corvette scene but the C7 is very sharp looking. The new C8 was what attracted me in wanting a corvette. My local dealership is small and only gets a minimal amount of allocations and I have been at 1100 status for several months. After researching and learning a lot on the forum, I decided not to wait and get a new C7 at a great discount. I was fortunate to see several C8's that just arrived when I picked up my car. Both cars are unique in there own way. I am glad that I purchased the C7 and hope to own a C8 in the future. My C7 was built with almost all of the same options that I ordered on my C8 and I saved over 20K. The C8 does look sharp in person.

If you can put it in D and R guess what ?? its an automatic.
If it doesn't have 3 pedals Guess what ?? its an automatic.
You just don't get it do you ??
Its not about faster its about you driving the car rather than the car driving you.

Exactly. I know these new autos are faster. If I were in a real race car, I would absolutely want a fast auto trans. But 99% of my driving is reasonably close to the legal limit so that means nothing. I enjoy making a nice shift my self, up shift and down shift. Always have and probably always will.
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
