Default C7 auto unlock

2017 GS. Since new, the doors have always unlocked automatically when i approach the car. A couple months ago there were a few times that I had to use the remote to unlock it when I first drive it the morning, but then it would work fine all day after that. More recently, this problem has progressed to the remote not working at all unless I use the actual key to pop the trunk, then suddenly the remote works fine... unless I let the car sit for several hours / overnight. Examples:

Morning: have to use the key to pop the trunk (sets off the alarm), then unlock the doors with the remote, then drive away. Stop at a store, go in for a bit, come back out and it works fine (auto unlock and everything). Go back home. Let it sit a few hours.
Evening: have to use the remote to unlock the doors. Short trip to the store, and it works fine again.
Overnight: car sits in the garage
Morning 2: have to use the key to pop the trunk and can repeat the previous steps.

Thoughts?

I also have a '17 GS, and was having intermittent issues with my fob. Once I replaced the battery that came with the fob, all issues were in the past. Worth a shot if your fob is still with the original battery. Whatever the fix ends up to be, let us know how you make out. Good luck.

Considered changing the battery, as well, and will do to rule it out.

By auto-unlocked automatically, do you mean when you touch the door pad to get into the car, it unlocked?

Change the FOB battery in both of your FOBs.

I look forward to hearing if changing the fob batteries solves your problem. Good luck!

Its the battery. Also, the doors wont unlock when you approach the car, it does when you press the door release button.
