Default Callaway 627

I am looking at a 2015 callaway 627, seems like it’s pretty nice but I’m wondering where these should fall in the price range between a stock stingray and a z06? I believe that this was a $20-25k modification so am guessing that on a 5 year old car would be about a $10k premium over the equivalent stingray but I can’t find others for sale on line to get any accurate info.

thanks

What are they asking?

Link to the ad?

I have owned more than a few Callaways over the past decades, so perhaps I can offer some insight.

Any other Callaway options aside from the SC627 Package?

Callaway Sport Exhaust, for example?

It was an $18,000 option to the car. What was the window sticker of the car new, then add the Callaway options.

I am told it has the callaway exhaust on it. The car is about 700 miles away from me so I haven’t seen it and I’m trying to decide if I should be interested at that price.

The Callaway exhaust was a $3,000 option. So sounds like $21,000, plus the car. What was the car one new? $70k? So perhaps $91,000 new?

There's a couple ways to look at this... It sounds like it was a but less than a new Z06, so should be a bit less than a used one w/ similar miles.
Or, take your depreciation of the base car and then depreciate the Callaway content by the same percentage. In other words, if the car depreciated 50% (using easy numbers for an example, but could have only depreciated 40%, etc.), then the car is worth $35k... Add the Callaway package which depreciated a theoretical 50%, as well, or add $10,500, and you are at $45,500.

But like I said, if it's depreciated 45%, then you are doing better then their "asking price"

Hope this helps.

Hey Canuk44, is this the one at Wilson Niblett?
if it is the yellow one I looked at it months ago and was surprised it wasn't on a Z51 platform which I find weird.

This one is dark grey with a red interior, I’m being a little cagey on posting the ad while I decide on if I pursue it, I think it’s a sweet car, might have to sell my c5 to get it though. If I don’t go for it I’ll post the ad in case anyone else is interested.

No worries, is this a Z51 package or base?

No need to be. I’m not a google-fu black belt but I found the car in 5 minutes.

The bigger mystery is why did the guy write such a crap ad?

Good question... I found it on another site to but here’s where I first saw it

https://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-other/w...rce=ios_social

decided against getting it, he says he wants 58k firm Canadian which is 41-42k US depending on exchange, 4800km, sounds like a great car to me, I was looking for parts for my c5 and maybe a c6z06 when I saw this but it’s to much of a stretch for me right now. Anyway good deal for someone I think.

Great, other than it being a Camaro.

I have the first 2020. It started as an SS not LT1. Didn't know if I would like it, but tried it as a DD. Too bad it is a Camaro, but I really like it.

We had a Callaway Camaro. My wife still wishes for that one to return to our garage. She had just gone back to work that year, and the car was too nice to leave parked in the lot for door dingers.
