Can Apple Car Play be added to the ‘14 or ‘15 Vette?(or earlier).
There are a number of different posts on this topic in this forum and you will find that you may lose some wanted functions if you have a Z51. As for earlier than 2014, I believe the answer is NO, it can't be done unless it's possible to install a non-OEM, aftermarket system.
Anyway, I did the upgrade to my 2014, non-Z51, 1LT car and have had no problems. Here's my post from back in November 2016, if you're interested: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...l-for-nav.html

Tom, it is a pain on the ***. I did it , and then took it right back out because I lost a lot of other things (depends who programs it ), like my back up camera lines, my engine management selection , and my steering wheel controls for music. It is expensive , and just not worth it. Hope that help .
The engine sound management thing on the 2014s is the only known issue, assuming it's programmed correctly. There's a couple different ways to do it, and different price points. There's plenty of threads on it. It's an absolute must-have for any car I own.
As far as C6 and earlier, you can just get a whole aftermarket head unit and an adapter module. I've got a Kenwood unit and a Metra Axxess adapter in my 2008 H3. It works great. We added a similar system to my wife's Mazda, and I'm eventually going to put one in my old pickup if I ever get the engine swap done.
Factory nav is a waste of money unless you're just dead set on having directions on the cluster and HUD.
You do need a nav module if you've got a 2015 with PDR though. The PDR software is a package deal with the nav software, and it won't load on the non-nav module.
I went the gm-navigation.com route with our 2015 Z06 w/NAV & PDR. Totally plug and play and everything works as if the car came with it from the factory. A side bonus was the addition of HD FM Radio by going to the newer modules.
