You fixed it.Your good, real good. What is the term?Getting the paint Flat for more reflection.I am tempted to do my own paint correction.I buffed out many a car.
About 45 years ago. With the grinder pad combo.Been watching video's.
Seams to be easier with the new light weight rotaries.
The cost of 2 good machines, pads and product almost puts me into paying a professional.
I’d love to take credit, but I did nothing.
The car has not been polished or seen a buffer since it was corrected. Nothing has been done since the original photo except detailing
as I mentioned, I think it was an optical illusion caught in the original photos where the curves of the panels blend together in a concave angle and caused weird and grainy reflective images with the lighting in the original shots.
I just photographed it in different light and the characteristics you saw are no longer visible.
I keep hearing that clear on these cars is pretty thick. How was it on the top of the front fender. You know that narrow strip.Roughly what you got invested?
Gonna need a polisher too,pads,product $$$$
Just priced this kit...That's it? https://www.chemicalguys.com/torqx-c...RoCgYsQAvD_BwE
I did it to my C5. I don't recall exactly what products I used. I'll look at 'em in the garage tomorrow and let you know. BIGGEST pita about the whole thing, other than time consuming, was the claybaring.

That blackman was the Junkman from Adams Polishers.Just watched both parts.Sounds like your man testing that machine.Looks simple enough with that machine being not so aggressive. Now I'll be really watching for some tricks.
Experience is the key,But It could be worth a shot
They sure are !! I believe the best in the whole Chicago Land Area. When I bought my 2019 Z in May 2018 from Mike Furman I had it enclosed trailered to Chicago Auto Pros with 2 miles on it . Jason did a brief clip of it on his YouTube Channel being wrapped and praising me that I told the dealer not to touch it and ship it dirty. I really wanted them to coat it with the Modesta BC5,(another $2,000) but couldn’t justify it after what I spent on the full PPF wrap job.I had them tint all my windows and hit the wheels with the BC06. So it was a pretty penny I spent. There a little more, but I’m a firm believer you get what you pay for. Great bunch of guys!!
PM me the video link if still available, I'd love to see it.

THAT'S him! Thanks! Trust me, you can NOT hurt the paint with that polisher. If you put pressure on it, it simply stops spinning until you lighten up. His process really did a nice job on my C5 but it takes DAYS. The claybar is the biggest PITA.

I'm not sure how to post a link to hear. But if you go to Chicago Auto Pros Youtube Channel it's under 2019 Z06 and Tesla Model 3 get full PPF wraps. I'm kinda disappointed because it was allergy season and Jason wasn't feeling up to videoing that day. So theirs not much video on the wrap job.Still kinda cool knowing that's my car wish he would of highlighted more of it though

The Porter Cable and pads were the biggest cost. The PC runs around $115 I think. Then the pads. I used the method and products that the Junkman (youtube) used and my car came out GREAT. Lasted a LONG time with waxing using NXT 2. I paint corrected it once and had it for 8 years. I'd guess total, I had a couple hundred into everything and still have it, 'cept for the claybar....
I had mine professionally done by my film guy. When I bought the car, it had a terrible coating from the dealer and they didn't prep it so he had to strip all that and claybar and polish it. Then he put the Xpel film on the car and then ceramic coated it. The problem with S Florida is that it gets so hot, standard car wax just melts off so it only lasts a short while. I love this ceramic and have had all my vehicles done by him (Eric at The Film Authority) in Boca. And he even did the convertible roof and now it completely beads like it is plastic!
After talking to quite a few people, I'm staying with the wax....
sure, you can do that too or go for something quick and easy yet effective like Gyeon Can Coat. I think that product is amazing for what it is.
On my other car that is not coated, I have TLC V2.0 with Beadmaker riding on top and I’m really happy with that.
whatever you decide, and if it is gloss you are really after, I couldn’t possibly recommend paint correction anymore, it’s the only real way to get there regardless of coatings, sealants or waxes.

post some photos with your final results.
best of luck to you my friend
Thanks man. Tough decision. But for a great coat, it'd be about 2 grand and that ain't happening. (not a baller) And the ownership dealer said he uses wax on his and they're gorgeous. Had my detail guy here yesterday Friday and discussed it with him for over an hour along with a friend of my who's about to take delivery of a new 911 from Germany. Given the cost and alternatives, we decided on a steady clean/wax (high quality carnauba) program. He does ceramic but really seemed to think that wax was a better way to go... we'll see.
My new one has NEVER been paint corrected and hopefully never will be. I did it to my '03 because it'd not been really properly cared for (the paint)
This one, I cleaned all of the f'ing love bugs off when I got home and put a coat of NXT 2 on it. My site picture is of it when I got done.
If I was going to seriously show the car, maybe I'da paid up for high end ceramic but my car's are drivers, garaged but drivers.
