Default Best 0-60 Stingray

Hello all,

A couple weeks ago I traded in my Infiniti Q50 (Great car) and bought a Stock 2017 C7 Stingray A8. Now I’ve seen many different youtube videos about 0-60 times and launch control but what is the best time you have gotten using launch control? Today was my third ever 0-60 using launch control and I got a best 4.0 flat. This was in 82 degrees and a beautiful day.

What surface were you on? And what tires do you have on the rear? And how much air pressure in the tires? All of these factors will make a big difference in launch times.

Did you try it without launch control? I think launch control spins the tires too much until the computer gets good control of it. Try rolling on the throttle instead to prevent the initial wheel spin. Put the brakes on hard like launch control. Then give it some throttle to take the slack out of the drive train, only about 1100-1200 rpm unless you have super grippy tires or are on grippy pavement. When you are ready to launch, take your foot off the brake and immediately start rolling on more throttle. You should be able to get to full throttle fairly quickly as the car starts picking up speed. Leave it in "D" and let the transmission bang gears at the perfect RPM every time.

If you did not get any tire spin, you can try more brake torque throttle for the next launch until you find the best launch. You can also try rolling on throttle quicker unless the tires broke lose after initial roll out. Practice makes perfect!

They are stock Michelin tires. For the 4.0 0-60 I had little tire spin. But I do think I’m going to start launching on my own and timing that. Pretty sure I can pull a 3.8 off

I don't even use launch control on mine and I have managed a best of 3.8 seconds. I just leave it in sport mode and don't do anything special, I just mash the pedal right to the floor and hang on. Mine is a base Stingray with the A8 and 2.41 axle ratio, along with the base exhaust, so it's only 455hp.
