That is ironic as I was just doing the same thing and managed a 4.2 as well in touring mode after my 3rd try. I have an M7 and would like to experiment with launch control next.

Mine is a 1LT Stingray coupe, A8 with 2.41 axle ratio, this was done with 3/4 of a tank of gas, the outside temperature was 68 degrees and I didn't use launch control, I just had it in sport mode and mashed the pedal to the floor. This was my third ever try at doing a 0-60 run too, that day I ran a 4.0, 3.9 and then this run. I was running Shell 91 octane non ethanol gas, I'm going to have to try some more runs now that I run Petro Canada Ultra 94 octane almost exclusively.
