Default 2019 purchase question

I am getting ready to buy a 2019 Stingray. Anything to look out for? I am looking at a new one and a slightly used one with 5k miles.

Given the very limited information you're providing, the only thing I can say is for the used C7, obtain the VIS report, (aka Global Warranty Record) this report will give you all the repairs, oil changes, etc. You can only get this report from a GM dealer, it's in their computer system. Of course you should also obtain Carfax and Autocheck.

I would say the only 2 widespread issues are with the rims cracking if a grand sport or the automatic transmission shuttering which can usually be fixed with a flush. Other then that you will see issues here and there but can’t think of anything else that’s really widespread.

Check the build date. If A8 automatic built after 2/1/2019, it already has the Mobil1 blue label fluid. All good, no issues. If built prior to Feb 2019, no worries. When you go in for your 500 mile oil change, tell the dealer trans is shuddering. GM covers the full trans fluid flush and fill. If M7, no build dates necessary, all good. You say Z51, so no wheel bending or cracking worries either. Buy it and get ready to grin

Z51 is the dry sump engine so just make sure you or whoever does the oil changes completely understands the procedure, its different then your typical wet sump.

Best advice ever.

The only other things I would add is if the car has the 3LT package, make sure there is no dash delamination happening and check the fit/finish of the body panels - not sure if it is still an issue but some cars experienced paint issues at the panel joints.

Thank you.
The one I am going to look at today and 95% sure I will buy is a 2019 grand sport convertible. 1lt package.

My two cents: Buy the one with the best equipment. If budget conscious go for Z-51. Otherwise suggest Grand Sport. I have 2019 Z-51 LT2 convertible. Fab car, I appreciate more daily. Grand Sport is Z-51 with the $1700 Mag suspension upgrade & body effects. After driving a Vette with the suspension on track, I regret not having it. But is really a racing thing. LT2 is much more lux than LT 1 and worth the cash, IMHO.
There are great deals on new 2019s.
