Here’s a before and after of my C7 side marker install. If anyone is thinking of doing this it’s super easy. A big thanks to JW Motorsports for the quick shipping and perfect fit!
I prefer the color-matched LED ones over clear but it's still an improvement over the hideous factory side-markers.
I think it depends on the color of the car. I have a Torch Red Z and was torn on the clear rear reflectors or the red. I think the clear matches very well with the clear tail lights, but I think the red is a cooler contrast with the black diffuser Personal preference. Of course went with the smoked side markers, really off sets the red
I attempted to install a set yesterday on my 19 Z06. The inner liners on my car are fairly rigid plastic and did not want to disengage from the fender. Perhaps there has been a change in the front inner liners for later models? Certainly was not easy, backed off before damaging something.

No change Did you take the bottom screw off? Sometimes even the side winglet if you have stage 2 aero and definitely the large winglet or canard if you have stage 3 aero. You have to pull out the plastic liner harder from the panel even pop out the front fender just a little bit and it will pop out of the clips. Don’t panic when it pops it’s ok. Just gently pull the fender and the liner apart and reach your hand down in there and squeeze the clip at the top and pull the light out just a little bit. Then go to the middle of the light and squeeze the middle clip and pull out a little more. Then last go to the bottom of the light and squeeze the last clip and it will fall out Hope this helps. It’s tight, but you have room Good luck

Yes the front fender liners are more ridged than the rear felt type material. I used a plastic pry tool to separate the bumper lip that wraps around into the wheel well from the inner liner because the inner liner is like stuck under where the bumper lip wraps onto the liner. When putting things back together make sure to tuck the liner under the bumper lip.
Thanks folks!
Will try again today
I had taken the 3 screws out of the fender lip and the bottom screw that is underneath. Will try with the pry tool to see if that gives me more room.
I did it with the stage 3 aero left installed so it can be done. It is a bother however.
One trick which may help is jacking the front of the car up and finding the hole directly below the marker. You can reach your hand up and disconnect at least the bottom clip this way. You may be able to unclip the middle as well if you are determined. Then if patient and gentle, you can move the marker around gently and coax the top clip off as well. This does not require removing any screws.
