I was wondering if anyone has put a car seat in a c7? My grandson is 4 and I want to take him the Carlisle this year. I know to disable the air bag. Has anyone done this? Thanks.
Not in my C7, but what's the question; you know to turn off the airbag. I did so with my granddaughter in my C5 all the time (she loved the top off) in a front-facing designed child's seat. No problem. Have a great time; we did!!!

HI...my kids are grown now & no grandkids yet to put into my C7 passenger seat...but when they were young I had a C3 and bought a child seat for the passenger side. Worked great!
Are you just using the seat belt to hold the car seat and the seat provides for this? There's no LATCH anchor, which would make this a non-starter for me.

There is no on/off switch for the airbags. The seat has a sensor in it for weight and a position sensor for distance from the dash. Using the two sensors, the airbag module adjusts deployment accordingly. This is why when you see pictures of a crash that only had a driver in the car, there are no airbags deployed on the passenger side, or why in a frontal impact the side airbag doesn't deploy, etc.
The owners manual talks about installing a car seat and also notes that if the law requires a tether / LATCH that the seat should not be installed in the car.
