i can’t store any favorites. according to the manual, i’m supposed to tune to an audio preset than slide the favorite list up from the bottom of the screen, then press and hold a button to save the station. when i slide the favorite list up it pops up a menu screen and asks me what i want to store. problem is there is no save preset option so i can’t save any station as a favorite. if i exit the the menu screen the arrow at the bottom of the screen disappears and the list of buttons disappears with it. in other words i can only save what is on the limited menu that automatically appears every time i call up the favorites list. what am i doing wrong? how do i go to a station and then save it as a favorite?
I just press the button of the slot that I want to use. There are six presets at the bottom of the screen, if you slide your finger left (drag) it scrolls the presets. then tune to what you want, press and hold the perset and it should store it. I'll go check next time I go to the garage, to make sure I'm not talking out my butt.
(Yep, that's it. swipe left or right, not up...)

I found the best way was go into the Manage Favorites menu.
Sadly the entertainment manual is nearly worthless. You need to watch a few videos on YouTube to see how others make it work. It only shows 5 along the bottom after you hit the little arrow button on the right, but you can actually store like 50 down there - you just can't see them unless you swipe. The user interface isn't very good and the touch screen (especially in the earlier years) is slow to respond. This combination makes it frustrating to use.
When I first got my C7 it drove me nuts trying to get all the presets the way I wanted them. Once setup I just use the steering wheel controls to change between them as the small buttons at the bottom of the screen are a pain. All this scrolling, pressing and holding never worked well for me due to the laggy response, especially compared to something slick and fast like my iPhone.

you are right. the manual is completely useless. i finally got it somewhat to work. you must navigate the system in a specific order plus it may take several times before it actually works. a complete pain in the ***! par for the course for GM.
