Default Long Beach Red

Considering this color but wanted white, gray or black. Red is way too flashy. Long beach red; does this color scream attention? I think it looks timeless, like a fine wine.

I am considering it.

Simply go with the color that YOU like best. That's usually the best plan for being satisfied long term.

The longer you have LBR, the more you love it. And so will everyone you meet!

I chose LBR because it has distinctly different colors in different lighting
  • During a sunny day it's a dark candy apple red with varying colors in the curves and shadows
  • With a bit of overcast it turns more of a burgundy color
  • At night it takes on a metallic root beer color...
That may or may not be your cup of tea, but I've had mostly silver and dark metallic gray cars and I love it... YMMV
Also, IMO the factory pics don't do the color justice. They don't show the depth and variation of the color, especially in the sun... If you haven't seen one up close and personal, would be a good idea to do so...

It's a nice color and has a very classy look to it. Definitely a different response than Torch Red, Yellow, or Orange and as others have already mentioned, similar to Black Rose, you almost get three colors for the price of one depending on the lighting conditions.

However be forewarned that dark red seems to be the "official" Corvette color for Florida. I live near Sarasota and it seems every Corvette show I attend, 50% of the Corvettes, across the C5, C6, and C7 generations are dark red, whether that's Anniversary Red, Magnetic Red, Crystal Red, Precision Red, Long Beach Red, etc.

When I pulled the trigger in 2018 and ordered my 2019 Z06, it came down to Long Beach Red or Arctic White. In the end, I compromised and went with the Arctic White and Adrenaline Red interior combo. I know there are more Arctic White C7s out there, but for some reason, I don't see that many near where I live. For example, in our local club of 100+ members, I have the only Arctic White C7 Z06, however we have 3 Long Beach Red Z06s plus another 5-10 Long Beach Red C7 Stingrays and Grand Sports. It's a popular color and the C7 wears it well.

Good luck!

You're worried about a C7 looking too flashy? Funny. The whole design is flashy. Go for it!

Long Beach Red is a stunning color. But if it is not what you really want, keep looking.

I’d say LBR is probably the 4th flashiest color after Torch Red, Yellow and Orange. Grey is probably the least flashy just because most cars theses days are some shade of grey.

Only 6% of C7s are LBR. it’s a more sophisticated color for the discriminating palette

How can any color on a Corvette be considered "too flashy"? Don't be getting shy now!

I've had three Corvettes with similar color; C4, C5, and C6; and about 15 others in bright red or black. The LBR variants were the only ones where women would come up to me and start a conversation.... and it happened a lot. I'm not saying "get this color and get girls" but rather the male-dominated demographic of this forum is not a true indication of the world in general. Currently my C7 is basic red but I would swap it for LBR in a nanosecond.

C7 Grand Sports with a high spec build options with comp seats, window roof, etc are nearly impossible to locate in Florida.

White or grey is what I want but with the options I desire, none for sale in Florida.

Searched Nationwide on Autotrader, very little out there or it's on the other side of the country; Calif, Oregon, Washington.

Long Beach Red will probably suffice because the last thing I want to do is buy from of Calif, Oregon, Washington.

The U.S. is a climate of tense at the moment so the last thing I want to do is own a flashy colored vehicle. Some believe we are in a soft civil war and I have no desire to be involved with women anymore. My current marriage is almost like living in hell with my back broke.

Corvettes stand out regardless of color. True, the bright ones will be seen from further away but even a silver or grey one will be noticed eventually

As I stated, my post was not about picking up girls. Point was that half of of the population seems to really like it. Sorry (really sorry) about your marriage, from personal experience I can add that they're not all like that.

If I would had ordered a '19 I would have gone LBR. It was close to the color of my 1st new Corvette, and my favorite, a Milano Maroon 66 L79 coupe.

LBR is a cool color, it's not a bright Red. Low key red. Slim pickings today for Grand Sports. Probably gonna pull trigger.

Pickings are slim and getting slimmer... Am sure you know that time isn't your friend.
See if you can see a LBR in person and if it's good for you check out MacMulkin - they've got a lot of 'em.... If you don't like it, move on to another choice.

I have traditionally had Black cars.... still have a black 2012 Camaro as my DD.
We have had 9 black cars, including 6 Corvettes.
But for this one we opted for LBR.

WOW !!!!!!! We are so very pleased, and many others say "what a fantastic looking car/colour".

I think it is stunning - it has an understated elegance to it while still having some flair to it. It's a complex color that I would chose if I was looking for a Red C7. A friend of my got a Z06 convertible in that color and it is absolutely gorgeous. Especially with the spectra gray wheels. When we are at shows together, I constantly find myself staring at his car.

If you have not already, you should see it in person. While flattering, these pictures don't deliver the elegance and complexity LBR has to offer.

Best of luck with your selection.
