OK, I will try to keep this as short as possible and provides all details.
I have a 2017 Z51 M7 which was completely stock until Saturday. I had purchased a Corsa Extreme exhaust system (14762 - mufflers and black tips only) and dropped the car off for install at a specialized Corvette dealer in Dallas. After they had cut off the stock mufflers they could not fit this Corsa system on my car. They tested a Corsa system made for the Z06 (which they had is stock) and it fit perfectly. Nowhere on Corsa's website does it say that a 2017 C7 M7 Stingray should have fitment issues, however, a 2017 GS M7 does.
Any ideas why this fitment issue happened on my car? I purchased the system from an authorized Corsa distributor, but contacted Corsa directly to see if they were aware of issues. They were not. I am still waiting on the distributor to get back to me.
At this point, I now have a new system (in box) and want to return it but it appears that I will likely incur a re-stocking fee and have to pay shipping costs as well. Of course, I don't want that.
Usually, any exhaust system for a car needs to know if you have an Auto or Manual transmission. There is usually a difference in the fit between these two options. I don't see that differentiation being made on the Corsa for the Corvette. Maybe they sent you the wrong part? Did you ask them if there is a difference for A8/M7?

Correct. Corsa claims there's only a difference for the GS with manual, not the Stingray (or Z51). They claim the difference is due to the AFM set up.
I installed the Corsa Extreme Cat-back on my Z06. If your car has the AFM valves, which the Z06 doesn’t, then there are instructions on how you retrofit them to the exhaust system, otherwise it is a simple bolt-on installation.

Thanks. So, what the shop did was install the other Corsa system (meant for the Z06) and everything appears to be working fine, including the AFM which I just tested. I am still dumbfounded about all of this and wondering if the 2017 M7 is slightly different from all other manual Stingrays, for some reason.
Still waiting to hear back from the distributor on my options. Just hate to lose money on re-stock and shipping for something that's obviously not my fault.
Well, I finally received an RMA# from the distributor. Hopefully the return goes well...although, I've had some go very wrong in the past.
The installed exhaust appears to be performing as designed. However, I am still very confused as to why Corsa claims this "Z06 version" on my car is incorrect.
I'm putting Corsa on my 19 GS M7. When I researched the Corsa website, I found there are many different versions for the C7. They are segregated into base models and GS/Z06 set ups. Different ones for auto and manual transmissions. Some even are for NPP and non NPP cars. It all seemed a bit confusing, but if you take your time and read all that's involved, you'll be able to select the correct set up.
According to the part# you listed, your system was made for a Grand Sport with automatic transmission. There I think is the cause of your problem.

Thanks for the reply. Actually, if you read the title closely, it says that this part# is for the base C7 and GS auto. This is also what I was told when I contacted Corsa support. They told me on the phone that I ordered the correct part for my car, even though it did not fit. It seems that there is something different about the design of 7-speed manual versions of the Stingray and GS.
Glad you got a system that fit installed. Hope your return goes smoothly and no additional costs are involved.
So far. The item I returned still has to be inspected and approved. Still not sure if they will charge me a restocking fee or not or shipping. FINGERS CROSSED!!
