Default Performance Corvettes

Hi,

Just a comment on the customer service I received from Performance Corvettes.

I messaged them asking if they really were charging $80 for the 4 bolts that hold on the wickerbill center section, price on their site increased from $150 - $230 when I selected the bolts. This is what they sent: "That’s what the cost is from GM Sir, we dont make the pricing

If you don’t like that, email General Motors"

I thought that was not an appropriate response telling me if you don't like it, go to GM.

I sent the following: "Sorry. I just wanted to see if there was a misprint. Quite a rude reply for a possible new customer."

They returned with: "Send a rude email, what do you think you’re going to get in response? People who send stupid emails like that…..are not customers, nor do we want them as one."

I called them to talk about this and the person that answered said that the replies came from the owner.

I did some research and did see that the bolts are about $20 each. I have no problem with a vendor charging that price, but the owner's responses were a great example of poor customer service.

Take this for what it is worth.

Thanks for the heads-up. Not a response from a vendor that I would take kindly to.

The first response was being very straight forward, not touchy feely like some people like today and the second was even more up front as he does not want to deal with people that require touchy feely...

It is his business and he has the right to feel and say those things, just like you have the right to feel the way you do and can take your money to the business that you want and treats you like you want...

people need to stop being so offended by other people

I do not think anyone was actually offended. But if we choose to live in a society that does not call out ******** we will soon be overrun by them. Might even elect one of 'em.

I guess unlike the case with most small business owners at present, his business must be good if he can afford to run customers to other vendors. I agree that his tone was unwarranted, rude and amounts to poor customer service. Unfortunately, poor customer service seems to be the norm these days. In view of his attitude, I will make no purchases from that company.

The owner's phone manner is short and to the point.
It didn't bother me. The paint and clear on the parts
that I received was flawless, beautiful work.

I bought my bolts for the wicker off of ebay. Someone is selling a set of 4 https://www.ebay.com/i/253988936577?...hoCLngQAvD_BwE

they honestly look fine, don't stick out, and do the job intended. I'd go with this. GM can **** off trying to sell 1 bolt for 20$

In this circumstance, the customer and the business deserve each other.

I had a similar experience. Got a few curt replies before (I did think twice but went ahead), and after I ordered, but final product (real carbon fiber rear wickers for my GS to replace Carbon Flash) were as promised and very nice indeed.
I guess he's a really good paint and bodyman more than a businessman.

Welcome to far too many US auto dealerships/owners. Unfortunately, such idiotic behavior isn't limited to GM.

(btw, get the bolt size and order online from McMaster-Carr)

Simply take your money elsewhere if you don't like how the company treated you. I do, however, appreciate you relaying this information to us fellow forum members. Each of us can do with this information as we please...even if it is used to push a personal political agenda .

Elmer,
,
I was not making, or intending to make, or comment on political matters. I was simply intending to agree with the comment concerning belligerent, arrogant "********" in general. Perhaps I should have been less brief and more specific in my comments.
