Default C7 A/C random issues

C7 62k miles. New Orleans, La. few months ago A/C stopped blowing cold air. Blower works fine. AC is usually on lowest temp setting, fan on high. AC button on, recirculate. Checked freon, good. Checked relay, good swapped anyway. Changed low pressure sensor. Worked for a while then stopped. When it's not cooling compressor and engine bay "jet" fans aren't running. Disconnecting/reconnecting main battery usually corrects it for a few days. Last time it stopped my engine temp stopped also, all engine temp gages read zero. Changed engine temp sensor everything started working again. That was 3 weeks ago. Yesterday it stopped again. Today I notice no engine temp also. On my way to work, I floored it for a few seconds, everything started working again. I have reseated every wire that I can dealing with AC. From other posts, I have reached under glove box and pulled on those, no help. Any help appreciated. Also it's not throwing any codes and I can not duplicate it. It fails randomly.

Welcome to the forum

Have you taken it to a good dealer? You said there were no codes but maybe they would be able to see what is going on in the systems themselves...

It sounds like something is being shorted out and when it does it takes systems down...

No I was hoping to find an answer without the dealer. But you are correct, it may be my only option.

Mine was blowing hot air out the drivers side only which turned out to be a drivers side cabin temperature sensor had failed. I did not have any of the other symptoms you describe though.

Default AC and engine temp

If I could find out how these two systems cross. Really strange to me how my engine temp reads zero when the AC is not blowing cold air.

If the vehicle is not reading coolant temperature it assumes a high temp condition. This causes cooling fans to run high speed and engine loads to be shed including A/C compressor. Car may also show reduced power.

Your problem is the temp sensor or wiring.

Makes sense when you think about it.
