Default MyLink Pandora problem

2015 C7.
My radio connects to Pandora, plays one song and then freezes. Pandora works ok on the phone when it is not connect to MyLink.
Anyone have an idea what is happening?

Uninstall Pandora from the phone, unpair the phone from the car using the infotainment screen. Reinstall Pandora and pair the phone to the car.

Sometimes a phone software update messes things up.

Did you recently get your radio updated at the dealer?

I did not.

I tried removing and reinstalling Pandora, and also disconnecting / pairing BT to no avail.

I occasionally have weird Pandora issues on my 2015:
  • Not displaying song info. If I switch to another station, it starts working normally (and works fine if I switch back to the original station). Happens probably 30-40% of the time.
  • Not playing anything, or starting to play and then stopping almost immediately. This is more troublesome as I'll sometimes have to reboot my phone and restart the car for Pandora to work correctly through the Pandora app on MyLink. However, I can just kill the Pandora app on my phone, switch to bluetooth source, relaunch Pandora and it'll work fine that way. Typically if I've done that, the next start up of the car I can switch to the Pandora app on MyLink and it will work. This behavior occurs maybe 5-10% of the time.
This is running Android with the latest version of Pandora (and this behavior has occurred since I bought the car over 1.5 years ago and across all version of Android and Pandora since that time). I have not noticed an Android update ever causing an issue, and since Android updates force a phone reboot I'm pretty sure Pandora always works perfectly immediately after one. Pandora app updates may be a difference story, and could be part of the issue as I've got my apps set to automatically update.

As a suggestion, have you tried using the bluetooth audio source and running Pandora that way? You'll still have song info displayed and the ability to skip to next song, you just won't be able to choose the station through the car screen (will have to do it on the phone).

Also, try deleting the cache for the Pandora app and then rebooting your phone.
