I had the fuse panel under the hood removed from the vehicle for a couple of weeks as I lazily replaced the spark plugs. After I got everything plugged back in, and set up the only drive mode that will work is sport. The dial works to change, but nothing else happens. I have the vehicle tuned so Im not eager to take it to the dealership to have them flash it for fear that I will need to have the vehicle tuned again. So questions I have would be if I disconnect the negative battery terminal will that work to reset the car? IF I do take it to the dealership and they need to do a software update what are the chances that I need to have my car tuned again? Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
I didn't think about it until much later unfortunately..
So with all the fuse panels in the car you probably were feeding power to some modules and not to others when u popped the under the hood box out
I would unhook the battery and leave it off for 10 minutes then reconnect it ( dont forget to re index your windows ) . I am sure , unless u damaged a module , that everything will be fine when u restart the car
Not certain but I suspect the Drive Mode is more related to the EBCM since it probably controls the modes. ECM tune wouldn't have anything to do with it as that is nothing but changes in the values in a table.
