Default Simple question...easy fix?

I have a small pebble partially stuck under the top center of mr GS rear spoiler. I tried to remove it using a very small jewelers screwdriver, but it won’t move. I don’t want to force it, and possibly damage the paint. Anyone have an idea on how to remove it. If I could just loosen the spoiler, it would come right out. Is there an easy way to loosen it?

Thanks,
Clayton

How about dental floss. I have also used a piece of folder paper and scooped it out.

Default I've got it

Q-tip with superglue, attach and wait three minutes....and maybe you'll like the look and leave it there...….

Use a plastic putty knife to slightly separate the parts, to take the pressure off the stone so it moves easily? Be gentle.

No super glue. He will have bigger issues than just a pebble in the spoiler then.

That’s what I was going to say - even a plastic trim tool would do the job.

I use a pointed tip wooded toothpick as the wood won't damage the paint. The below works for many such jobs/detailing as well. Just wet the pointed end and debris will often stick to it.

Or use two plastic putty knifes to protect the surfaces of the deck and spoiler and press a small wedge, or even a flat tip screwdriver, between them to take the pressure plus a smidge off the stone. Then it should swipe out easily with a q-tip or blow out with an air hose. It is plastic above and below the stone so there will be enough flex to get it loose since there was enough flex to get it in there in the first place.

Good luck!

I've been using bamboo skewers from Walmart for fine detailing. They work great, don't scratch the paint, and have a pretty good point on them. Worth a try.

Any of the above mentioned and maybe compressed air may blow it out.

I get many of these while tracking the car, sometimes the sharp edges bury themselves in the paint and spoiler with the flexing of parts going on. The best thing I have found is a simple sharp 90 degree hook to pop them out (orange handles at HF). Sometimes you need to really apply some force to get them out.

Take a twist tie (from a loaf of bread) that is wrapped in plastic (dont use one with bare metal showing)
Wrap it around the back of the pebble
Spray some type of lubricant (like Quick Detailer, Spray Wax, etc) all around the area
While pushing UP on the rear spoiler, tug (GENTLY) on the twist tie - should pop right out
(if you can't get the twist tie around the back of the pebble, use a pair of tweezers to tug on the pebble)

These little pebbles can get stuck between body panels in a few places on the car. My best success has been by lightly pulling apart the panels and they just fall out (over rear tires). Same with the rear spoiler. As mentioned just separate the two surfaces and they can be removed with no paint damage. I think leaving them in there grinds up the paint. Removing them too aggressively can also grind up the paint.

I use the tooth pick end of a plastic dental flosser. It generally
dislodges the pebble. If it is wedged maybe a small drop of
lubricant would help removal.
