Default Mechanical splitter

Been trying to figure out what I can do about my splitter, I have a '15 c7z . Rub and hits too much.
What are the options out there, other then removing it, and driving around to find a gas station with a flat approach.
Is there any thing like mechanical , air cylinders, eletric solenoid, etc etc. That at a push on a button you can raise or lower the splitter. Any thing like this out there
thank you
Lance

The only one I have ever heard of is the 2020 C8 Corvette, there are other more spensive cars that also do it....

Other than going at an angle to the dip... I figure once I have ground 1/2 inch of the splitter I will buy a new one

I have not heard of anything like you want being available. Sounds like an opportunity waiting to be explored.

Nothing I’ve seen yet for the C7. Maybe the C8’s version will fuel someone to fabricate a similar piece for the C7.

That's why I wouldn't have one, just another thing to hang-down in the real driving world. All the add-on "protectors" just extend down further. Pitch it and forget it.

And... "Sounds like an opportunity waiting to be explored." No, I think the last word should have been "ignored" instead of "explored." No one is going to do that for the C7; way too involved and too, too late.

Well I wasn't asking for you opinion. And they do look good and also have a function.
The Question was ,do you know of any one making something like this. I see you are a senior member so in all due respect. Sorry I asked.

There's a vendor that makes a chin-guard for the standard splitter scrapes...
Don't know if they make a how low can you go splitter guard. Forum member JerryU, has one good source he's shared...

Due to how the splitter attaches nothing like that would work. There is no place to retract the splitter into. I guess you could tip it up slightly (if attached via some hinges) and gain a bit of approach angle but I have never seen such a thing for sale.

The C8 lifts the entire front axle. I guess you could do that with a C7 by putting some kind of air ride suspension on it.

I see this thrown around a lot. "Senior Member" just means you've commented 50 times. Thats it. There are "Junior Members" on here who have been around since the early 2000s. I could create a new account today and become a senior member by commenting in the off topic section. It might take an hour, tops. I'd throw more weight into the Member Since stat, but ultimately it comes down to the quality of the content being relayed.

To your question, I haven't seen or heard one. The Chief Corvette Engineer, Tadge Jeuchter, commented on the lack of active aero on the C7, citing weight gain and development costs as being prohibitive for their internal design processes (at the time). I'd imagine the price of development and entry into the field wouldn't be worth it for many after market vendors, unless people were ok paying thousands for a splitter (and thats before you consider carbon composite construction).

I went with a Stage 1 splitter painted carbon flash and it helps. It doesn’t hang down as far as the Stage 2 splitter.

Still have the full length side skirts and Stage 2 rear spoiler.
