HUD question
2016 , M7, Z51.
When I bought the car 3 months ago, it had the circular tach on the hud with a temp gauge next to it.
While playing with the car in the last week, I changed something and now have lost the temp gauge
and now show the G-meter under the tach.
Need help trying to get my original configuration back.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

did you not receive the Owners Manual with the car?
The little arrows on the steering wheel on the right (along with the select button in the middle) control what is displayed.
As noted above, it is in the manual.
Edit: Sorry, I did not notice your topic line states it is the HUD, not the instrument cluster. The HUD control is to the left of the steering wheel on the instrument panel.

While I have only had the car for 3 months, I am 100% positive I had a Circular Tach and a vertical bar graph temp gauge of
something. There was no G-meter display.
As a matter of fact, I just went on an 1,100 round trip and got the view the HUD intensely for hours on end.
When we got home, I was playing with the different settings and lost that display.
Someone must have seen this type of display with all the 2 and 3 LT cars produced.
I have never seen such a display and there is no description of a HUD temperature gauge in the manual.
If it exists on your car it will appear with running through the HUD options. I suspect you are misremembering and recalling a gauge on the main cluster.
No temp gauge within any of the configurations in my HUD display that I can find. Maybe you were looking at the bar graph engine revolutions (tachometer) display?
I agree and am wondering if he may be posting in the wrong fourm???? Even then all of the HUD controls on C5, C6 and C7 are on the dash to the left of the steering wheel.
Definitely no temperature gauge, here is the first one:
Here is the second one:
Third one:
Fourth one:
The only thing this HUD has going for it is it is clear and in color. The one in the C6 was light years better, just not as clear but way more information.

I have only made two changes to the car since I got it.
I replaced the Hurst Pistol Grip Billet shifter with the OEM shifter.
That required me to disconnect the battery.
The second change was adding the skip shift eliminator. No battery disconnect required.
Just push the selection buttons until you find what you want (may no be what you think you remember, though--as already said); it doesn't sound like you are going to make matters worse. And, it will come back where you started eventually. But, then you'll have seen for yourself.

Unfortunately, I never took pics with the shifter in the car.
Thought it was a little strange that the PG was in there. Bought the car from a Dodge
dealer. It was traded in on one of the super dodges. Obviously by a Dodge fan.
I used the shifter for about 3 weeks, but, had problems finding the gears on downshifts.
Upshifts were fine.
Thought it could be me or the shifter. Put a factory shifter back into the car. Turns out it was me.
Too lazy to reinstall the Hurst, so I left the factory shifter in the car.
I'm not the greatest shifter, but the C7 always seems to surprise me which gear it decides to go into. Not always downshifting either. It's like "no man's land" outside of 1st and 2nd. I bought mine new, so it wasn't the previous driver.
