Anyone have an issue with a "drone" noise? My '19 has a noise like a drone at various speeds...usually around 75-85mph. tried throwing it in neutral, didn't help...can't figure out if it's the tires, rear end or an exhaust drone. Shouldn't be a biggie to figure out, just haven't pin-pointed it yet.
our cars definitely produce a lot of road noise. The Super Sports are pretty noisy. A lot of us install soundproofing to reduce the road noise. Makes a nice improvement. Sooooo many threads about those. Look up “crazy cowboy” threads. I have his kit installed. It’ll never be as quiet as a Caddy...that’s okay with me. But some soundproofing really makes a difference
It is not the exhaust if there is no change putting the car in neutral and coasting. You can also try changing gears to double check. If there is no change with gearing, it is not the exhaust.
If it is the tires, the sound will change with changes in the road surface.
Is the noise new, or something the car always did?
If you shifted into neutral, then it’s not the exhaust. I’d say that it’s the typical Vett road noise... wind turbulence, tires, etc. Sound deadening will help. Also, check all of your seals... windows, roof, and hatch. Sometimes they can get pinched and you will not get a tight air seal, which can amplify wind noise. Worse case scenario is that you have a problem with the drive shaft, transaxle, etc., however, doubtful.
