I have the 18 Convertible, front tires are wearing twice as fast as rears. Needs suggestions on alignment. Never track the car. Putting 4 AS3+ on next week, have an alignment scheduled for Tuesday morning. Any suggestions on how to tell them the alignment I want. Got 40k on the car, this will be 3rd set of tires. Getting a little expensive. Thanks
Just 0 it out. It still handles really well. The turn in isn't as great as it was with the -1.2 camber but it is probably worth it for the extra tire life, since you actually drive your car much more than a weekend driver.
If you do not plan to spend a lot of time on the track, having the alignment set to neutral will minimize inside wear on the front tires. As soon as I got my GS I had that alignment done. I learned on my C6Z. First set of tires lasted 18,500 miles. The second set lasted 40,000 miles!
I just got a 17 Grand Sport a couple of months ago. It came with new Michelin Super Sport A3+ on the front. Probably for the above reasons.
I called a local Chevy dealer and talked to their Service Manager. he said there wasn't any changes to the alignment they could make. Is this because they don't know how to zero out the above settings?
I would like to get this change if possible since I am not going to track the car. Just use it as a daily driver.

Sounds like he just didn't want to change it from factory specs.
As I have said many times, go to your local Firestone tire dealer and talk to the alignment tech. Tell him that you want to flatten out the Camber to no more than -.5 degrees and if you can walk away with a good feeling that you and him are on the same page, then but the "Lifetime" alignment package; this will let you take your car in every 5K or so to have it checked for FREE! I have been doing this for several decades and Vettes.....I have 88K miles on my C7 and just put my 3rd set of tires on last year (A/S 3+ 45K+ miles, OEM's 30K miles).
Took mine to my dealer after buying new tires. Had 29k on the originals - fronts needed replacement, rears were good for a few thousand more miles. My S.A. recommended a 4 wheel 'street' alignment versus that done at the factory. He knew the difference.
if you want a great alignment for your vette give Dan Robinson ( service manager ) a call at Dimmit Cadillac on Gandy Blvd (3333 Gandy Blvd. Pinellas ParkFL33781 (1727-493-5067)Dan is a gearhead ( and friend since we were kids ) and he has a mechanic ( Chris ) that owns several vettes an he did the alignment on my 15 ZO6 night and day difference in the way she handles no more twitchy handling great at speed no vibration just perfect
I went to Don Mealy, Clermont Fl. So far seems like the tech did a fabulous job. Rides quite, no twitching on uneven road surfaces. Only put a few hundred miles on this week, too early to tell about tire wear. He got it pretty close to "0". Thanks for all the advice.
OP is asking for street alignment for A/S 3+ rubber (Non-tracking). This is a great alignment for track but will wear the insides of the front tires quickly.......-1.2 degrees front Camber is way too much for street; it needs to be less than -.5 for even wear across the tire with just a touch of toe in.....1/16" to 1/10th".

Even though it says "reducing tire wear", my tires were, in fact, wearing faster than I'd like on the inside. However, the car does handle like a dream.

I just had my alignment done on my 2016 Z51. I have the fronts at 0 camber and the rears at -0.2 camber. Dealer said they couldn't completely 0 out the rear camber because of not enough toe.

Happy with the result.

Love it
No sane person would set up a street car like a track car, unless they just plain dont know any better.

damn. thats a good idea. i just pulled up this thread again so i could snap a pic of that chart that was posted above.. found a local shop with reasonable prices on michelin 4S's and a crazy nasty dirt cheap price (somehow) on a 4 wheel alignment done on a hunter hawk laser machine. almost too good to be true, we'll see how it goes. my front tires are getting pretty ragged out with only 16k miles on the car (what the hell) so its about that time. warranty mileage only applies to normal tire rotation plus i drive like an *******, so perhaps this is par.
