Default Buying a 2014 C7

Looking to buy a 2014 C7 3LT convertible .Very well keep car the local Chevy dealer knows the guy by name. We all heard the story before Senior gentleman on his 10th corvette waiting for his 2020 corvette to come in.I would like your feedback back on a few things .First the auto has 30,000 miles I see a lot of cars with 8000 to 12,000 miles should this be a concern. Also different retail books list the value of the auto less than any auto I see on any online site I browsed at nation wide (I been having a lot of time on my hand lately). This is a beautiful color combo and the few I seen don’t stay around long.Long time reader first post . Thanks

30,000 miles for a 6-year-old car (5K pr year) is still extremely low mileage. Plus, the 2014 model year of the C7, while being the first year, has proven to be the most reliable and trouble-free of the series. If the car is nice and the price is right - go for it. I absolutely LOVE my 2014 C7 3LT convertible.

If you are in the market for an auto trans, the A6 which only appeared in the 2014 C7 was bullet proof while the A8 in 15 and later has a history of problems.

The '14s are well thought of for reliability, with the main items being the A8 trans and "newer and better" creature comfort/electronic features in later years. Sounds like it has a good pedigree and appears to be a good deal

I agree with the above. You are looking at a low mileage car and the A6 has proven to be very reliable. If the car checks out, go for it. I really like my '14.

I have to say I can't believe how clean it is. I get it this Wednesday. I'm glad to hear you guys say there known for being a reliable car

Drove my 2014 C7 for 5 and 1/2 trouble free years. Not one single problem. Go for it.

My '14 has 33k now with no major issues.

Most Corvettes are garage queens so low mileage examples are more common then your average vehicle. Keep in mind with summer only tires many C7 see only 6 to 8 months of driving a year. As others mentioned if you are looking at automatic the A6 in the '14 is better then A8 GM put in the newer cars.

C7s are selling more money right now because of the delay in C8 deliveries is limiting new & used Corvette inventory.

I bought my 14 a yr ago with 32k miles, now 38k. Car is great, I did buy a GM warranty from one of the vendors here like Denny Finchter. Had the driver door open switch replaced as well as the info screen.

I own a 2014, 3LT, Z51 with Mag Drive, Auto, with every option you could buy including the suitcases, plus some more. It has 24K miles, in EXCELLENT condition, and I will not sell this for a C8. So on perspective of owner it has been trouble free, not a single issue with the car. Glad you went for it, good luck.... Yes I have a Z06 grill,,,but the Z06 was over the top for me, not interested in more performance than what I have, car is not going on track, my racing days have ended, been there and did it, no more for me. I just like to drop the top and drive here in Florida.....you will love it.

69k miles on my '14 Z51 3LT vert. A6 auto and no complaints here. Check the service record for battery and coolant. If either is original, then replace.

My 2017 has about 22,900 on it and was purchased May 2017 and now is August 2020. 3 1/3 years not bad on mileage. Going on a trip at the end of the month for 3,200 miles and when driven reasonable, which is most of the time, I average 31 mpg. Love it!

On my '14 torch red Z51 conv 1LT 7MT; noteworthy (as stated above) one of the few modern cars where the first year has proven to be the LEAST troublesome..

Bought my 2014 in 2018 with 34K on it. It has 54 on it now. Not a single problem. Except for a squeaky roof, which you shouldn't have since its a 'vert. Mine is also an M7. Just look at the dash carefully. 3LTs tend to delaminate the leather. Good luck, and welcome!
