Default Scrolling Screen issues

Guys looking for some help?
my 2014 Z51 LT3started having screen issues around June 2019. First dealership said it was an update so they charged me $118 to do the update. two weeks later screen started to scroll like an old TV. brought it back and I said please take it apart and look at the wiring to the screen. they called me about an hour later and said it was another update and it was fixed? i questioned it and they didn't charge me this time. a day later same thing started happening, screen scrolling and going black. Took it back again and said again please look at the wiring to the screen, this time they said it was the module by the driver side door. they replaced that and the HDMI cable to the screen for $905. Two weeks later it started happening again, so now I'm pissed and argued with them. went to the head boss and he got them to change the screen for no charge. My question is if they changed the navigation/radio system wouldn't all my information be gone like phone settings and saved radio stations? did i just get screwed or is there some way this would be transfered over? anyone with knowledge of this would be greatly appreciated

How many more times will you bite? I hate when the dealer just keeps taking shots in the dark to fix a problem especially when out of warranty!

For reference that is the HMI module. I don't think it stores any presets or settings, its more of an interface / control module that "talks" to many other modules, like the radio and backup camera. The screen itself is just that - a screen - so it only displays information from other systems connected to the HMI.

I couldn't go somewhere else until the money I spent was satisfied. they wouldn't give refund so I wasn't just going to throw that money away?
