Okay, I know there has been lots of talk about the C7 trannys. Does anyone know what percentage of automatic transmission actually went bad? Is it 20% or what? My 2017 Vette does not show any problems yet. I have 11000 miles on it. My dealer will not do anything if it looks okay. Any ideas out there? TIA!

As far as I know GM hasn't published any numbers on the A8 transmission with regard to warranty failures. That information may be out there somewhere. If you haven't had the triple flush, that would be worth doing. I'm not sure what you would want the dealer to do if you have a properly functioning transmission. You might consider purchasing an extended warranty at some point.
Two of my friends have A8s, one in a '15 with about 80,000 miles and another with an '18 with about 70,000 miles - neither has had any problems. The friend with the '15 shipped his to Europe for a year and drove all over the continent....
I just traded a '15 MN7 with 97,000+ miles for a '19 A8.... not worried in the least.
I have a 2016 Stingray with about 12,800 on it with the A8 and have had no issues at all. I did have the triple flush done about 3 months ago just for peace of mine, it is covered under the powertrain warranty, was done at the local dealership with no questions asked, May just be in my mind but it does seem to shift a little quicker after having the flush performed. I personally think that most of the problems with the A8 transmissions are related to the AFM going from 8 cylinder to 4 cylinder mode, think that is what causes most of the reported shudder problem with the Corvette and all other GM vehicles that are equipped with AFM. Think it is not only hard on the transmission and torque converter but also the lifters in the engine over time, at least that is according to my local mechanic that has worked on all my vehicles for years. Easily fixed on both potential problems with a Range Device to keep it in V8 mode all the time.
It is difficult to tell what the percentage is. Basically it is an issue. Just like wheels on the GS and Z06, and 3LZ and 3LT dashboards. No one individual has cited a percentage of failures that would be considered to be accurate. I would just say this. The majority don't have issues. From here it is all guess work. I have a 2016 Stingray with 133,000 miles on it and never had a problem. I have a 2019 Z06 and never had a problem with the A8, but,,,,,my torque tube did fail. But you hear very very little of failures with that part. It is rare.
I use the Range device in both cars and made sure I went to the latest transmission fluid.

As mentioned, the triple flush is a good thing to have done if you have the A8. Perhaps if you are on good terms with the service manager, they will do the work under warranty.
Well I have an A8 2015 z51 and I haven't had any problems. I have 51000 miles and haven't done anything. I'm not having any problems with the transmission.
