Questions about 2014 3LT leather dash mention the leather is lifting/curling at the edges. I have a 2014 1LT without dash problems and I am wondering if the 1LT dash is leather or vinyl.

The 2014 C7 brochure (Link below) page 23 shows the 1LT/2LT cars have "Moulan Leather seating surfaces" and the 3LT has "Napa Leather seat inserts." If you go to page 7 of the brochure, there it says: "The available hand-stretched, leather-wrapped instrument panel is hand-sewn with an eye to meticulous fit and finish." I presume they are talking about ALL versions (i.e., 1LT/2LT get the Moulan Leather instrument panel and the 3LT gets the Napa Leather instrument panel).
So, my take is the seats AND wrapped surfaces for the 2014 1LT are Moulan Leather; Mulan leather being just ground up leather scraps, mixed with bonding materials, reformed into sheets and dyed accordingly. Napa leather just being a higher quality leather. So, maybe, given the way Moulan leather is made, it bonds better to the surface and why we're only hearing about the 3LT cars having all the trouble?? I don't know; just a few thoughts here....
Thanks for the ideas. It sucks the more toy pay for something the more it costs to repair something that should not have even failed in the first place. I baby this car and still this occurs...not to mention the console arm rest wrinkling issue too. Rediculous. I remember when I had my C6 all the magazine articles talked about how much of an improvement and refinement the interior was over ther C5...so much higher quality...Now I read the same articles about the C8 the same magazines talk like the C7 interior is crap...I expect some future C9 article will in years say the same about the C8. Everything is great until the next model comes out then the old one is crap. Anyway, that's my diatribe on the topic.
more expensive interiors generally in all makes does not hold up. MB has mb-tex and leather. MB-tex is not as soft but is way more durable. There is a downside to the looks and softness of things.

The 1 & 2LT dash are each covered in Moulon leather. Unlike the premium custom Napa leather used in the 3LT cars, Moulon leather is produced from ground up leather scraps and other filler compounds. The same stuff is used for the seating surfaces in the 1 and 2LT cars.

I believe you are missing the "KEY" WORD "AVAILABLE" as in available in the 3LT, not standard in the 1LT/2LT. Below is copied from the 2014 Dealer Sales Brochure you refer too. If anyone can confirm that 1LT/2LT dashes are made of Moulan please post it. I believe only the seats are and dash, door panels and trim are vinyl 'stamped leather-like' material.

And concerning the composition of "Mulan" leather, FTC trade requirements mandate that if a manufacturer states/advertises (like in the brochure or window sticker) that something has "leather seating surfaces", it must be real leather. If it is not 100% genuine leather, the manufacturer must state that it is either synthetic (leatherette, MB-Tex, Sensatec...) or a bonded/composition/reconstituted material .....the talk that Mulan is bonded leather is just hear-say, there is no evidence that this is true. These same FTC advertising labeling rules apply to leather furniture.

Well I did my repair as best as I could. The leather does not stretch even when warmed up do I injected the glue underneath the leather in front of the defrost vent yo at least mitigate the shrinking/separation. I also glued down the right corner of the leather near the HUD. These tools helped alot.
