Default C7 differential swap between models

Can I install the differential from a manual C7 onto my A8 car? Would it be a simple bolt-on and don't sweat it or is there some sweat involved? Thanks!

Quite a difference in rear axle ratios. The speed sensor appears to be on the transmission, so it will affect the speedometer and all speed related calculations such as MPG. You'll be turning a lot more RPM at the same speed with the M7 diff gears and lower your potential top speed. But it may be a better drag racer (still limited by traction).

That long just to swap out the diffs? Is there a special ritual involved? I would think you just bolt it on

Yup looking to get rid of that laggy tall gear feeling when driving around town (which is what I mainly do with this car)

You have to drop the rear suspension to access the transaxel. Have you checked to see if the M7 differential will even match up to the A8 tranny?

Why not just get up close and personal with the A8 and drive it in manual mode?
