Ethanol isn't an issue, one way or another, leaded gas is what will kill a cat. Not that I think it's even available, in Canada or the US anymore. Even when it was, the nozzle was to big to fit in a car requiring unleaded gas.

Yes, as long as it is unleaded gas.

No reason to do so, you'll only be hurting your performance.

Lead kills cats, they don't care about the ethanol.

No problem but I never see any 93 non-eth around here. It's all 91. The 93 eth is readily available near me so that's my preference.

I just got back from a Philly to NYC trip - with the traffic by the holland tunnel, it took me over 20 minutes to go 2 miles

Even after a lengthy no traffic drive on the turnpike (similar to my ride to NYC), my return trip MPG wound up 40% of what it was for my trip going to NYC

So I can certainly see how MPG could be 50% (or worse) when driving mostly in traffic as compared to more highway driving

I had grown up in Brooklyn, there are some parts where the traffic is a mess

Yes, you can run non-ethanol gas in your car. Won’t hurt a thing as long as you use the appropriate octane rating for your car.
