Great man good to see you have a c7 back in the garage now. I am sure you will love it but I am going to wait on the 2022 c8 z06 to hit the road & put my order in after I drive one of them. Robert

Apart from any individual aspects/quirks of your particular car, I can give an otherwise unequivocal "YES," you did the right thing. I could have gotten any model/edition I wanted and I got a base, black, M7 St-ray with two options: black wheels and black badges. I intentionally do NOT want half the gobble-de-gook on it, much less that of the the GS or the Z06. ENJOY!!!

You did the right thing in buying an M7 C7. A 21st Century, dependable sports car, beats a 60 year old antique for driving daily any day!!!! Miles of smiles await you! GLWTC!!!!

Avanti, It is interesting that a longtime CF member got essentially what I chose for my first Corvette a year ago. Mine is a 2019 M7 Torch Red Stingray with black wheels and exhaust/multi-mode select options and that was all. I didn't want it all gee-gawd out myself and was just looking for an "honest" American sports car that was at the end of its manufacturing run (build date 08/19). I did put the Jake hub cap inserts in my black wheels which suggests the car is owned by a Millenial rather than a 71 year-old with a very modest/limited racing background. Congrats to the OP for his new Corvette. They are a lot of fun to drive especially far away from the prying eyes (radar) of cops and troopers

Congrats on the C7. Your point about the issues with the C8 is well taken. IMHO, those who are being forced to buy 2021s instead of 2020s might be the lucky ones.

Better late than never coming to the C7. It's a remarkable sports car. The best mods, are NO mods. The only mod I equipped mine with are WeatherTech floormats .
About speeding on public streets and highways? Best take that to the Track.

Yea that's why at my age I want the best corvette for the money .
They have already dialed this corvette in . Like I do when restoring old corvettes .
YOUR corvette is white and it pops .I am more of a detail person its just in my blood .
I will sent real pictures .This one will stay for the long run .Sleek simple and fast .
I had a 2008 Z06 with 700 miles on it traded it for the last split window .
Ran my 327s fast and hard but detailed to the max,
Excited hope I can use the electronics
Been on the C2 forum since 2008.
learned a lot from these people talked to the very interesting super stars in the Forum.
Cant wait when the corvette is delivered to share it with them and tell them you guys welcomed me the C7 experience

Congrats! You definitely made the right choice on color and transmission. Enjoy your new C7 Stingray.

I like the "gobble-de-gook" on my Z06. I get positive "gobble-de-cook" comments all the time!

No Mods? Where's the fun in that? It always starts with "just floor mats" and then goes from there. If I want to see stock, I can always go to the dealership.

MSG C5. I'm glad you like all the stuff that came on your car, clearly many do. Btw, just because some like less doesn't mean we simply accept the "Bottom-of-the-Barrel" version and leave it at that. In fact, I remove still more. For example, I removed the goofy stylized "guitars" from the front fenders and the CORVETTE script from the rear. I refinished the exhaust-tips in black to match the rest of the car. I fabbed "Avanti" script wheel center-caps. Plus, I added Z51 sway-bars... etc. Hence, we are all different and don't necessarily fit any particular mold. Enjoy your Top-of-the-Line Vette!

It's all good. I was just having a little fun with the "gobble-de-cook" description of the added aero components.

First, I think all Corvettes are great. I hate the term "base" and would never consider any Corvette model or trim bottom of the barrel as a 1LT C7 Stingray is still light years ahead of most cars on the road. After that, it's all based on individual taste and driving goals as I've seen some incredible C7 Stingrays over the years.

You couldn't pay me enough to put those ugly *** floor mats in my car. Those belong in a work truck. YMMV
