Batteries Plus, full 60 months warranty. With $20 rebate you can get this battery for $259. A core deposit of $18 so you get this beast for $241. I like the built-in handle. Sure beats having to change your battery out after 30 months.
775 CCA,
915 Cranking Amps.
I heard good things about their batteries. Will the Corvette trickle charge work on AGM batteries?
AGM batteries are excellent in applications designed for their use. I question whether the C7's charging system will sense the installation of an AGM and properly charge it.
The issue is AGM batteries are sensitive to overcharging. Automotive charging systems designed for flooded lead acid batteries (the stock battery in a C7) typically have a higher floating voltage. As a result, the installation of an AGM battery could overcharge the battery, especially on a long drive. (The requirement if a lower floating voltage is why CTEK chargers and others have dedicated settings for AGM batteries.)
The C7 charging system does not have a fixed float voltage setting however and various depending on load, etc. Thus, it may accommodate an AGM. My recollection is some here have used AGM with good results.

The trickle charger you get from Corvette when you purchase their battery protection option is the Ctek model 3300. This is a very good trickle charger for the OEM battery (standard flooded battery) but is not recommended for an AGM type battery (Absorbent Glass Mat). Ctek has another charger (model 7002) which is highly rated and is capable of charging AGM and other type batteries. Ctek also offers other models that can maintain an AGM battery as well.
Update: I went back and re-read the owner's manual for the CTEK 3300 (model 1051). The manual indicates on page 9 this maintainer can be used on an AGM type battery as long as the battery is rated no higher than 90 amp-hours. The Batteries Plus battery I posted is rated at 67 amp-hours. Final upshot is you can use your Corvette CTEK battery maintainer on an AGM battery. Sorry for the confusion.Last edit
