I inserted a phone charger into the front power socket, in front of the cup holder. Heard a little pop and now I have no power in that socket, the one in the other front power socket and as well the one in the trunk. I've tried with the engine running and turned off. All of the USBs continue to work well. A search in the owners manual shows two separate fuses, could this be the problem or something else?
If you were able to hear the "pop", it's unlikely it was a fuse under the hood. Have you tried a different charging adapter? Sometimes those adapters will fail for no good reason.
The "pop" could be the sound of an arc created when the charger was plugged in.
Have you used the charger somewhere else and it was fine? Did you look into the power port to make certain nothing is in there, especially something metallic?
I bet you blew a fuse. As mentioned above, the issue now is why.
Fuse 37 and Relay #4 control power to the power outlets in the passenger cabin. This diagram is for the rear fuse box of a 19 GS so I am not sure if your vehicle is the same as this.
